Okay, how pathetic - and cliched, and predictable - is this? Motown and the Jackson Five as well as some from the late, and yes, great, (but tormented and troubled) MJ himself, have been part of my listening of choice these two past nights, eg, I want You Back, Gotta Be There, I'll Be There, Ain't No Sunshine, ABC, Lookin' Through The Windows, Ben, and similar - and amazing Motown stuff.

Cheers and good luck

Kings of Leon- King of the Rodeo
Album: Aha Shake Heartbreak

I was intorduced by my sister and the first song that got me hooked was Revelry off their new Album. I like their singles and happy they got famous here now, but I was amazed at how how good their two previous albums are. They have some really good ones not to mention their new album. I mad a playlist with all 3 albums and couldn't decide on an order! That's how good they are :D here are some good songs:

Soft
Pistol of Fire
Ragoo
Camaro ( Very 70's Classic Rock, which is what I grew up with )
Charmer
Black Thumbail
Taper Jean Girl
Razz
17
Closer
Be Soembody ( not to be confused with Use Somebody although I like that one too )
Four Kicks
Cold Desert ( The singer was drunk and didn't remember singing this and made up 3/4 of the lyrics, very honest and powerful)

I've never been this obsessed with a band so quickly since I first heard Steely Dan's Aja album when I was 12. You should definitely chek these guy out! :) hope they stay around for a long time.

Duff-Man says...."The Modern Dance" by Pere Ubu...a fabulous album when it came out back in Feb 1978, and this 5.1 surround mix I'm playing now makes it even better...oh yeah!

Metallica - Purify

Snare is an abortion. Huge Tallica fan but St.Anger needs to be re-recorded with a snare drum that actually has snares on the bottom and Death Magnetic needs to be re-recorded with the drums miced up properly.

*shudders*

"Where They Never Say Your Name" - Eilen Jewell, from her album Letters from Sinners and Strangers

I love this song. It reads like a letter someone had to wait six months to cool down enough to be able to write the words.

(but maybe don't listen to it if you're not in a good space in your head)

I've been writing a bit tonight with some meditative ambiance keeping me company.. particularly the first song on this album, a 27:40 minute piece called Illumination. Every music library needs a bit of this for late nights...
