Stuck to this album, it's sooo freaking good!! I listen to it at least twice a day :p

Now playing: Pat and Mick "Use It Up And Wear It Out."
Before that: Dead Or Alive "Hooked On Love", from Mad, Bad And Dangerous To Know.

(My nano's on random like it normally is; however, this morning it decided to play almost nothing but Stock Aitken Waterman stuff. /shrug)

My iPod decided to spend some time in Deutschland this morning.

Now playing: Camouflage "The Great Commandment", from Voices And Images.
Before that: The title song from Kraftwerk's Autobahn. (At 22 minutes plus, it's probably the longest track in my collection that isn't a megamix or DJ set.)

Are my musical tastes starting to rub off on you? LOL; just kidding. It's all good to me. :D

I happen to have the 12" to Go West's first hit single, "We Close Our Eyes," among other 80s New Wave/synthpop/Hi-NRG remixes and (relative) rarities.

I was in my teens and 20s in the 80s, so I'm simply revisiting stuff I loved back then. :) I usually stay pretty current, but every once in a while, it's fun to go back.

Yes....absolutely no work is getting done today :D

Oh, thanks Lee.

I didn't see any instrument, so I did what an analyst should never do, assume.

So, spinning your picks of the pops can get you a recording contract now??

Yeah, pretty much. You get bonus points if you can teach yourself to play the occasional Roland supersaw trance lead over a bed of rhythm loops in ProTools.

Anyway, back to the choonz.
Now playing: Monica Schroeder "Poison (DJ Ram Mix)", from Synthpop Club Anthems 4.
Before that: BT "Embracing The Future (Embracing The Sunshine Mix)", from Ima.

My iPod spat out a string of 80s hits this morning.
Now playing: Erasure "A Little Respect", from The Innocents.
Before that: Scritti Politti "Perfect Way (Way Perfect Mix)", from the 12" single.
And before that: Berlin "Sex (I'm A...)", from Pleasure Victim.

Hmm, not bad, not bad at all. Funny thing is, my "Now Playing" track below is somewhat of an early 80s predecessor to Tangram's style.

Now Playing: Synergy "After The Earthquake", from Audion.
Before that: Punjabi By Nature "Dancing With The Rainbow", a bhangra-fusion track from the independent heyday of MP3.com (before Vivendi Universal bought it).

Man, did I ever love the old MP3.com-- there's no telling how many free trance and Modern Synthpop tracks I got from there. I actually purchased a few albums, too.
