I thought this might be a curious thread. I know not everyone will want to give out their name, so you don't have to; but use Google and search for your name (with or without "quotes"), and see what comes up. You can also search with different modifiers (say, a city) just for fun.

Now post here whether you can actually find yourself (you don't have to say your name), or if you keep finding other people with the same name; and if it's the latter, post what Google says you are!

In my case, Google say I am:

A senior Java programmer in Alabama.
An internet marketer in Georgia.
A math teacher with a PhD.

Ironically, I know Java programming, I do a level of internet marketing with my web site, and have a very strong math background (took Calculus at 15), but none of these are me. I am saddened that Google does not consider me worthy.

Anyone else have anything interesting?

According to the top hit I'm a lawyer apparently.

The 5th and 7th (or 5th and 8th without quotes) links are the real me.

A photographer (with seemingly dreadful web-design skills)
A member of the Association of Cancer Physicians

And I am:
A famous actor,
A SQL developer - this one is me,
An Orthopedic surgeon.

I used to be a SQL developer and that puts me on page one of Google when searching for my name.

I believe this is called ego-surfing.

Cheers.

Ah, to be unique!

I managed to find a single entry using my full name (first middle last) in some article from my high school many years ago. That's it.
