For point 5, you know you can make your own ringtones right for free? It takes a while but you can do it. As much as i like the design of the Lumia 900 (it's simply gorgeous and wished the SGIII looked like it), there are a few main draw backs. Let's look at two.

1.) Lack of apps. I tried to convince myself this was an issue, but it becomes one over time. I've had a Samsung Focus and the lack of apps is killing me.
2.) Potential to get stuck on Mango. There was rumblings a few weeks ago that the current WP7 phones (including the heavily pushed Lumia 900) might not get the upgrade to Apollo. This is a deal breaker IMO.

Yeah apps was one of my concerns too...

I know I can make my own (ringtones), I just hate that I have to jump through a few hoops to do it I guess....

If I end up straying from Apple I suspect it will be for Android. I am hoping I won't have to though, but the boredom is killing me LOL!! Yeah I know it's a PHONE but mine is a portable entertainment center too!

In days or in hours?

That's hours.

I'm sure some people have phones that can make it a few days, but there are far too many that literally last only a few hours. That's ludicrous. I'm all about the Apple; I have a a 1G iPad, 2 iPods, ATV, and a 27" iMac. But no iPhone solely due to "Batterygate". I don't care if they make it weigh twice as much with the same smallish screen. But make it last.

I'm just waiting for the new 15" MBP. If something else perks my interest, then so be it. :D

I'm not hating the idea in general. I've just never had a problem with the Facebook app in iOS. Things like screen size, and resolution, camera quality, and processor, etc...are what will intice me with the new iPhone. That and overall usability. I'd love to see better multitasking like in webOS but what we've got is better than no multitasking at all.

I'm sorry but the FB app is a POS. It's the worst app in the app store. It cashes more than any other app that I have used, and I'm not the only person who's said that.

I agree that Apple need to do a better job at multitasking. For the most part I like it but it could be better. I like the way webOs used cards. Even Android is using that. I also like to be able to download an YouTube video and switch in between apps and the YouTube video still download. I believe WP7 can do it.

What am I waiting for? It was the HTC One X, but guess what.. no storage. Then it was the Lumia 900: no storage. Then it was the GSIII: Should have had it all but... Ugly as hell and.. Pentile.

(why do all these potentially great phone always have one thing that kills the deal?)

Now, I'm looking at the GSII Skyrocket. With an 1800mA battery, expandable storage and large screen, it just may fit the bill (especially if it gets ICS)

5 months is a LONG time to wait for what Apple may possibly do, so I'd like to spend it with a decent sized phone.

...yet I wait...

- Quick toggles
- FaceTime over 3G
- Turn by Turn navigation built in
- Try before you buy apps (one can only dream)
- Siri API (& more commands)
- iMessage via iCloud web
- Edit music tags on iOS
- Remove dictation icon without removing Siri.
- Better multitasking on iPad
- Notification syncing across devices (maybe in iOS 7?)
- iTunes Match that "just works"
- Improved Game Center with iMessage support & better friend discovery
- Ability to change default apps (browser & mail specifically)
- Clearing Notification Center item clears badge, option.

It's a tough one for me.

The original iPhone to 3G was a no-brainer. The 3G to 3GS speed increase was just mindblowing. The 3GS to 4 screen quality was worth it.

4 to 4s.. sucked. Speed increase was barely noticeable and Siri is useless.

4s to 5 is either going to make it or break it with iPhone for me. A general increase in screen size just isn't going to do it, speed increase, camera quality, and OS tweaks just aren't going to cut it either.

It's gonna have to be something we haven't even thought of or a complete overhaul. Both are unlikely..
