Wow, my wife would concur wholeheartedly. Love Actually is one of her all time favorite movies and a decade ago we went to see Rent as a Christmas present to her.
So many Love Actually fans! I liked it before I moved to the UK because "CUTE ACCENTS!" but now that I hear these accents every day I identified this film as "wow, this is some pretty stinky cheese" 😀I do love a bit of Bill Nighy messing up his song though! (NSFW, language)
The Snowman, admittedly not really a movie, but certainly a film. I've watched it every year since it was first broadcast on Channel 4 in 1982 when I was a mere 4 years old. It literally defines Christmas for me.
I also maintain a fondness for the BBC dramatisation of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe it has a warmth and charm that the film was entirely lacking.
The same with their dramatisation of John Masefield's The Box of Delights, which has so far, thankfully avoided the dreaded Hollywood f***over treatment. Though perhaps, not for long. 🙁
