It used to mean something to me as a kid, a magical night of freedom to roam the neighborhood and... collect candy, but first it was the freedom. :)

The history of Halloween is fascinating. A Pagan Celtic Festival, Samhain combined with Roman Feralia and Pomona celebrations. Massaged by the Catholic Church All Saints Day to sell to The Pagans.

Now regarding marketing, what really irritates me is mid Oct and the local building supply store is full of artificial Christmas trees and decorations.
All the plastic landfill. Thats what irritates me.

What’s with the golf cart thing though?

Oh, a golf cart is a small, usually electric, form of transportation for 2-4 people - originally designed originally to carry golfers and their bags. They legal for use on roads that allow for LSVs (typically marked as 35MPH or slower), or special road specifically designed for golf carts.

Same as any other day. It's a Saturday. I'll work and then come home at 8 or 9. I usually always work on Halloween so it's just another day. Halloween is for the kids. I think the last time I did anything on Halloween was when I was still a kid back in the 70s.

But what’s the significance with golf carts and Halloween?
