I'm going to be moving from an ipod touch to the iphone soon. I have several apps but find myself bored with the ipod sometimes and want to shake it up a bit. What are your top 5 apps that you have on your iphone now?

My top 5 apps that I use the most are tapatalk, pulse news, engadget, iBooks, and BeejiveIM.

Aside from the Facebook, iPod Music, Messages, Mail and Safari apps, these are six of my personal favorite and often used:

-Chess With Friends (it's like my crack cocaine)

-Dropbox (free cloud storage and great for syncing documents on your phone, iPad, and Mac)

-Flashlight (have your pick, there's a million free ones)

-Runmeter (great app if you're a runner or like to walk and track your progress)

-Shazam!!! :)(needs no freakin' introduction!):)

-Grindr (if you're not a gay male looking for nearby hookup, this ain't for you)

Two others that I consider must-haves are Instagram and Flixster. Both free in the Appstore.

This is hard

But I would say tweetbot, words with friends, tapatalk , camera + and Facebook , no counting any apple apps but YouTube is the most use tho

-Whatsapp: use it all the time for international texting.
-Splashtop: nice VNC app that lest me manage my at home computer from uni.
-Skype: self explanatory.
-Dictionary: I like new words :)
-Moxier Wallet: keeps all my passwords, account info, etc handy and safe
-ShopShop: best shopping list app I've tried yet. remembers everything you buy so its east to add again, tap items to cross them off, shake to remove them.

  1. Music
  2. Safari
  3. iStayFit
  4. OmniFocus
  5. Maps

The built-in apps don't get shout-outs enough. I think that if you could view apps by most frequently used, these would be my top 5.

Slacker Radio
Navigon (GPS)
The Weather Channel
Scanner Pro (scan docs into PDFs - works with Dropbox, etc)
PhotoForge (edit, crop, color correct, etc for pictures)

Native apps used most often:

Safari
Maps
Messages
Contacts
Mail

Favorite other apps:

Pulse
Weatherbug
mSecure
Emoji
Trip Advisor

Games:

Angry Birds
Solitaire
Tiny Tower
Cut the Rope

In addition to mail, contact and calendar which I use all day;

Tapatalk
Facebook
Readledocs
Weather Channel
Tripit
Amazon App

On iPad PDF Expert and the same above.

LOL. The straight version of that is Blendr. Although I'm sure the success ratio is very different. Guys on Grindr are all business. ;)

LOL..... I have a gay friend who has that app. I laughed when he told me that it measures the distance as to how close in proximity someone is to you for some serious hookup. LOL.... that is some serious app. And your right, I imagine the success rate would be less for those that have "Blendr". How many women would even have that as their top 5 app. (LOL). Hilarious!

LOL.... Your funny. I heard about app # 6. When my friend was showing me that app., he was texting to someone in Florida. What a coincidence if it were you. This is all in humor.

apart from Facebook and native apps:

Evernote - use it A LOT to share PDFs and websites between my devices & laptop
Shazam - need I say more
TomTom Australia - I'm really bad with directions so it takes me where I need to go
Instagram & Camera+ - just discovered these two and now I'm hooked!
Hanging with Friends/Words with Friends - addicted!

If I can include native apps in the list, then:
1. Mail
2. Safari
3. Messages
4. Stocks
5. Camera/Photos

For App Store apps:
1. Bloomberg
2. Dropbox
3. Pandora
4. Crackle
5. The Weather Channel (for Radar/Cloud map)

do you use the skype app for international wifi calling or do u use the chat feature? i find that app almost completely unusable...
