What are your top 5 apps?

do you use the skype app for international wifi calling or do u use the chat feature? i find that app almost completely unusable...

I use it occasionally for calls, but I actually mainly use it to monitor when people are online, and tell them to wait 10 mins so I can get on my computer and call them. I agree that the calling is bad, it's usually a last resort.

Too many good apps to mention, I use these all the time:

Facebook and facebook messenger
Tweetbot
Pulse News
iBooks
Shazam
Tunein Radio
Momento
CineXplayer
Evernote - great with desktop version
Ebuddy
Dropbox

Photography:

Camera+
Hipstermatic
Instagram
360 Panorama

iBooks, Facebook, National Rail Enquiries, FIFA 12 and Real Racing 2/Plants v Zombies.

I used to have an iPod touch (well, multiple actually but tat's irrelevant) and games carried over really. It's stuff like National Rail Enquiries and Facebook that are great additions on iPhone compared with the iPod touch because you can access 3G. :D Of course National Rail Enquiries won't be much help unless you're in the UK.

To list some of my other favourites-ColorSplash, Juxtaposer, Shazam Encore. Those 3 are all worthy iPhone apps too.

Aside from the Facebook, iPod Music, Messages, Mail and Safari apps, these are six of my personal favorite and often used:

-Chess With Friends (it's like my crack cocaine)

-Dropbox (free cloud storage and great for syncing documents on your phone, iPad, and Mac)

-Flashlight (have your pick, there's a million free ones)

-Runmeter (great app if you're a runner or like to walk and track your progress)

-Shazam!!! :)(needs no freakin' introduction!):)

-Grindr (if you're not a gay male looking for nearby hookup, this ain't for you)

Two others that I consider must-haves are Instagram and Flixster. Both free in the Appstore.

You know I used to think Shazam was the best but I've recently discovered sound hound to be the best. You can even hum or sing the song if you don't have the actual audio... it's amazing!

I'm curious about the SKYPE APP too on the 4S. I have a MBA and use Skype for international calling. It is absolutely clear and awesome. Why wouldn't it be the same clear receptions for the iPhone 4S, if used, with home wi-fi, and not with 3G as I do on the MBA. I figured if it works well with a MBA, it would be just as good with the 4S.

1) Beejive - Excellent multiprotocol IM client.
2) Navigon US & Can - Turn-by-turn navigation.
3) iCatcher - Podcast manager with streaming.
4) TuneIn Radio - Excellent streaming radio client (unfortunately, CBS has forced them to remove all CBS-owned stations from their database).
5) Netflix - Streaming movies and TV

Honorable Mention: Dic・tion・ar・y - The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language
