What about the Smart ForFour Brabus?

Image

1.5L Turbo, 41.5mpg, 174bhp and 0-60mph in 6.9 sec.

If it was so great then why did they discontinue it only after a few years? Also, 0-60 in 6.9 is hardly sports car acceleration nowadays. A V6 Toyota Camry will wipe the floor with this thing.

I would hope a v6 has more than 1.5L

Who needs performance? I just want something that can get me from a-b and able to hit highways speeds

I have two daily drivers. The small one is my Mini Cooper S, it gets great mileage even though it's supercharged & fast. I bought it new a few years ago, to use in the city since it's fun, very maneuverable and fits in any parking spot.

So I'm ready if not exactly looking forward to the inevitable prices higher than the $4.40 per gallon I'm paying now.

If I were living in Europe right now, I'll get a Vauxhall/Opel Meriva with the 1.7-liter CDTi turbodiesel engine. Decently powerful, very frugal on fuel and more importantly, you can comfortably seat four passengers and their weekend luggage fairly easily.

But I can wait a few months, the new Ford B-Max wagon with the Duratorq 1.6-liter engine.

Tesla Roadster.....we don't need no stinkin' gas!

Nice, but my 80-year-old dears with walkers might be somewhat intimidated. ;)

Put them in a sidecar.

My next company car will be a Chevy Volt. I'm interested to find out what my gas mileage will be, and if the Volt is practical for someone who lives in a rural area.
