Dimensions of the 7 are the same as the 6s, any reason why the apple cases sold for 6s won't fit the 7?

Except Apple specifically said that you probably will need one for the Jet Black... and a clear one won't detract from the color too much (I currently have a Rose Gold). Might be hard to get for you, but some of us like to sell our devices at the end and don't want to take any chances just to keep a "shiny new color" on full display

No I understand completely, and Jet Black will scratch.

jet black 256gb no case. dont rly care about fingerprints or minor scratches, def do not wanna hide my phone in an ugly case, plus it makes the phone bulkier+heavier

This. No matter what color i get. I always have a case and a screen protector on mine from day one. For no other reason than when i go to re sell the device, i get more cause it is in mint condition. Now i know some ppl are careful with their phones. But i am always cautious, cause i always want to get the most for my phone when i go to sell it.

I tried a clear case once, but unsightly dust gets inside and the inevitable scratches on the plastic look horrendous.

All the more obvious with a jet black phone, I'd imagine.

im going to get the Apple Black Leather case for my iphone 7 plus, should be a nice classic combination, i don't like these cheap tpu clear cases that are supposed to show your device, it looks great in theory because you get to see your device and have it protected but the cheap material its made of makes the phone feel cheap for me, i've use the apple leather case for my last 3 iphones over the years, very nice quality

True. But I don't want something too bulky and I want to see the back. But I don't want Speck lol. God help me..

Leather cases are going to be nice. I usually get silicone.

Orders shiny new color, puts phone in case where it can't be seen.

I've been an iPhone owner since the very first release. I never use a case. I've tried lots of them, but never end up keeping them on long. The chatter around the 6 Plus was that it would need a case. Too delicate. Bound to get scratched, bent, shattered, soaked... didn't use one on that either.

But I bought the Apple veg tan case for my 6s Plus and haven't taken it off since. This is the first iPhone that I've kept in one. Not sure if the 7 Plus will get one. I'm thinking no, but if Apple offers a veg tan for the 7 Plus I'll be all over it.

The leather case actually makes it feel more secure and "correct" size wise to me. I love the razor thinness of the phone, but the Apple leather case really is a nice, tasteful and useful addition.

Regular 7 might still fit coz if you are using original apples case, the bottom are not covered

I've been using a Spigen bumper on the last two phones and love it. Actually the same bumper on the 6 plus, and 6S Plus and likely the 7 Plus!

Allows the back to be seen but elevates it from surfaces to minimize chances for scratches.

I usually support Apple Leather Cases but I am not sure if I want to cover it all up ... so I might go with a transparent case like the Ringke Fusion.

Also, to save some of you from typing ... "None! Going naked! Only way to go!" (Did that cover 30% of the replies?)

I know you made your disclaimer of people saying "none" and all, but wouldn't a case defeat the whole purpose of getting the Jet Black? It's sole design purpose is to look amazing and show it off. Not be hidden under a case. Even a clear case takes away from it's designed effect.

The camera lens placement isn't exactly the same and the lens is also much bigger on the 7.

That's my take too. iPhones are designed to be naked. Especially this new jet black option.

I ordered this clear case from VRS Design. I'll probably order a Spigen from amazon as a backup.

Will see coz the cutting at the back looks big enough
