Question: For those who are hesitation between the black and silver. Would you still buy the black if Silver had a black front?

I'd get Copper if it had a black front otherwise it'll have to be black again.

I have a jet black 7 right now

Black front takes priority, so I get whichever color has the black front.

If all three colors have the black front, I'll either take Blush Gold or Silver.

My thoughts exactly. If only black has black front then boom, no decision. If all three have the same front I think it goes Silver->Black->Blush Gold for me personally.

Edit: Phrasing

i wish they would release a blue iphone for once...
was really disappointed last year, when the navy blue iphone 7 rumor turned out to be fake.

I hope the copper one has black front

I would go with black front and white back but only if the white was ceramic. Similar to the Apple Watch Edition

SUPER-disappointed that there's no red option this time around and I'm not wild about the blush gold. Silver always looks awesome, so I'm about 95% sure that that's how I'm going this time after having rose gold on my last 2 phones.

Black, it blends in the most with the color of a screen that is off! Adds a quality feel for it. Black is reserved for luxury products, like a Mercedes Benz, Lamborghini... with the iPhone 8 being as expensive as it will probably be, it's gotta be black.

It's very possible they could re-introduce a red iPhone later on after the initial launch, typically six months or later to keep the iPhone colors refreshed.

Which is just long enough to ensure that I won't wait for it. :p In a perfect world I'd be patient enough, but I know myself, and I love the excitement of this time of year too damned much to miss out. it's like Christmas!

I will buy the copper if it is paired with a black bezel. Otherwise I will get black.

Copper. Just because it’s the new color and looks nice to me.
That's exactly my thought. I always buy new Color every year. New Copper Gold exictes me and i am definitely buying it

So much in the air right now with the next iPhone. I'm usually set on buying the new color (blush gold does look pretty good, name could use improvement tho) but then the bezel comes into question. At first obviously I was onboard with a black bezel, because it would blend best w/ the screen. Then I saw the white bezels more and more, and I started warming up to it. It gives a contrast to the magnitude of the screen. I've also cooled to the jet black dummy models, specifically the painted stainless steel band. Maybe it will look better on the official models, but right now it isn't really as striking to me as the JB 7 was last year.

Then there's the silver l model. I haven't had a silver/white phone since the iPhone 4. It's not that I don't like silver models, it's just that they've been around forever and kind of strike me as a generic iPhone. This time, specifically in the last month, I've suddenly been obsessing over the silver model more and more. Especially the unpainted stainless steel band. It looks so classy and purely gorgeous.

Right now I'm still only 60% sure I want the silver model. It won't be official until I see all the final and minute details from the keynote. Whether the notch will be blended or embraced will definitely matter.

While I'm not overly concerned about the color at this point, all those same thoughts have gone through my head. I do think that the black iPhone 8 will look similar to the Jet black in person. It does look dull directly compared to the other two here, but I believe it will be a slightly less glossy (but still glossy) look, but primarily the same type of color as jet black.

Wow no one is getting silver I guess

My guess is the people who always get silver will continue to do so, and it actually looks better than ever on this new phone. They don't need to come to this thread to say so though.

Practically every car at every level has some sort of black color option. It's one of, it not the most common car color option.

Keep in mind, while that picture looks cool, it makes the blush gold look dark than it probably will be. If you look at the sides of the Blush gold in the first picture, you can see it's more of a gaudy gold color, than a more subtle gold as shown in that picture.

For this reason, and the white face, I'll likely be sticking with my black preference. Otherwise, the blush gold is a little more masculine to me, compared to rose gold.
