The downside of the black bezels is that they will show fingerprints, and scratches, much quicker than the white version. That's why I switched to white devices a few years back if possible. ;)

Hmmm, yes, since I've never owned a black one that's probably true. All my friends ones have fingerprint marks all over... however the 5th gen has a finger print resistant oleophobic coating so that might help. I think I will actually decide when I go into the store to buy one! White/Silver was my first choice but then black grew on me...

I am having a hard time deciding a white one or blue .. The blue one is so colourful and nice while the white one is shiny

Definitely Black Bezel it looks the nicest of all and it is the 1 of 2 that is only one color unlike the red on white and blue on white which doesnt look that nice.

It's not the only one. There's also white/silver, which in my opinion is one of the best, and definetly much better looking than dull and boring black. The "black" is not really all black. It's black/slate like the new iPhone 5.

Do Apple stores have these on display yet, and if so, can anyone confirm whether or not they scratch as easy as the iPhone 5? If they are made of the same anodized aluminium, wouldn't they be just as prone to scuffs and marks?

I'll buy a product RED and replace the window with a black one.
Good luck with that! You'll have to replace the whole screen since IPS panel is fused to the glass. Not to mention you'll have hassle with the replacement knowbody knows is easy or not and wait till available spare parts show up on ebay or something.

They're not on display yet, but there's tons of real pics and videos of them and "black" model is not really black, but more like graphite/slate.

iPod touch 5 shares very similar if not the same sharp glossy bezel edges so maybe it'll be prone to scratches like iPhone 5, but who knows since an iPod hasn't been released yet...

If I were to buy a new iPod Touch I would go for a black but pink and yellow are definitely hip. Since I bought the iphone 5, i will stand-by with my next Apple device purchase for now as I am out of liquid. :)

Just ordered the silver one. Just felt right! Hopefully not just because Apple used it in the presentation . . .

As a White Iphone 4s owner I will tell you you cannot notice fingerprints as much.
