I own a 360 and my girlfriend owns a Wii, even though I play both. My time is probably spend 90-10 toward the 360. Since most of my gaming time is alone and I like FPS, I end up on the 360 so I can play online with friends. It's so hard for me to go from the 360 where everything looks and sounds great to the Wii where it looks like crap on my HDTV with only stereo. I do enjoy Mario Galaxy, but sad to say, the graphics always pull me out from the game. And, I know I am not the norm, but I really can't get into the Wii controller. I know I would personally love Mario Galaxy so much more if I had a regular controller with joysticks instead having to move my hand all around to get the stars and attack enemies. Not that the 360 is perfect, I just got mine back a couple weeks ago from being repaired.

My friend just got a PS3 a week ago, it is really starting to come around since launch. Lots of good games coming out for it now and the system is really starting to show its potential. If I had to choose between the 360 and the PS3 now, I would probably go with the PS3 just because it is a much better value.

I know what you mean. As much as a love the wii controller, sometimes it would be nice to kick back and just use a regular (even classic) controller. I especially feel this way when playing any pointing/shooting game as our tv is just too far away from the couch for the sensor bar to work reliably.

*shrug* I find the Galaxy controls excellent and a welcome change from the way they've been over the last decade.

Hoping someone makes a split controller for the 360 and PS3 too. I can properly sit back and play a game for once!

Yeah I agree with this. My favorite wii games are the ones which just use the wii remote on its own. I don't like having the nunchuck. 1 year of use and it still doesnt feel natural to me, and often the cable gets tangled to make matters worse.

OH GOD NO!!! that would be my hell.

I've got a PS3 and DS. Used to have a PSP but the PS3 replaced it.

I agree about the Wii controller. I think it's a good idea in theory, but when I get home from work and am tired, the last thing I want to do is be waving my arms around. I'd prefer to just twiddle my thumbs a bit. This is one of 2 issues the caused me to buy a PS3 over the Wii. (Game regions being the other.) It would be great if in the settings of the game you could choose what controller to use, the Wiimote or the classic.

All 3, plus a PS2 and Xbox still hooked up for the games that aren't yet supported via B/C.
Oh, and a PSP, DS, and two DS Lites.

It's a sickness, it is.:p

It seems the ideal solution for Wii would be to allow the classic controller to be used as an option, as well as the remote/nunchuk. I'm not a programmer though, so it might be a lot harder than it sounds to support two control styles.

I really don't enjoy a console unless it can be modded. Then I max out its capabilities (like my xbox, its a network media hub, has about 50 games on the harddrive, and acts as a TV internet station, and has some Tivo-like capabilities) The fun is making it better that how I bought it, unfortunately the latest console mods are boring dvd security work-arounds that really only allow piracy. Im not into piracy, just legal backups and a sweet media hub.

Nintendo 64 and Playstation 3... can't go wrong! Gotta love the original Super Smash Bros :)

I'm not a programmer either, but I would think it would be possible. The PS3 has games that let you chose the 'classic' controls or the Sixaxis controls. I know not quite the same but close enough (unless someone proves me wrong).

If the Wii had a choice of controls, it would have been a lot harder decision. (of course I could have boughten 2 Wiis--a Japanese region and an American region-- for a little more than the price I paid for my PS3.

Dreamcast and PS2. I'm a big SEGA fan. I really wish they had continued creating consoles. The PS2 is the last of Sony's consoles I'll ever own. I'm fed up with them.
