The way it should be… get out and USE your damn devices and stop worrying about their shininess ! I gave up on a scratch free anything about 25 years ago. It’s a sickness, not a positive quirk. (I mean that greatly in jest)…
I do actually have OCD, so it is a sickness.

I’d love to be able to just use something, and not baby it.

He was lucky that a minor blemish on polished stainless steel is easy to repair. Do you know what feels worse than a minor blemish on a cherished possession? Having that minor blemish become far more noticeable after an unsuccessful repair attempt. (Matte-finish plastic parts on car interiors, electronics, etc. I'm thinking of you)
