Good choice of University. I graduated from Manchester in 2006. BSc(hons) Computer Science.

Do you live in Manchester already, or are you moving here from elsewhere? If you are new to the area I'm sure I can recommend you some places to go.

I'm from Leeds, so I don't really know the area at all! I know where the Apple Store is, that's all! ^.^

Any places you'd recommend going?

Also, my friend's going Computer Science this year at Newcastle. Looks really interesting!

Economics. Perhaps a dismal science but certainly a jolly good art. It's fascinating as a major, delving into so many areas: history, politics, popular culture, labor relations, mathematics, psychology, principles of accounting, ethics, law, communications, marketing, technology... it was the makings of a liberal arts education all in itself, before one even got down to picking a minor and some purely elective courses. I'd do it again, even though it was the furthest thing from my mind when I first arrived on campus. Go with the flow!

That would keep me awake at night. I studied genocide very briefly from a theoretical perspective and that was bad enough.

It helps to have a specific area of interest that offers something besides the more difficult aspects of the topic (i.e., the relationship between Rudolf Kasztner and Kurt Becher - their courtroom testimonies, etc.)

It also helps to study and work alongside an enthusiastic and deeply talented faculty.

Music education for my BS which i am going to enter my junior year in. since i am going to teach my masters also has to be in something music so i was thinking audio engineering, acoustics, or audio production as its the closest tech thing i can do with music :D. and if i cant get a job teaching or anything with either ill probably go into something computer or tech related.

Got my B.S. in Biblical Studies this past May and begin seminary next summer. I absolutely love studying theology. Eventually I'd like to plant a church, and at some point in my life do a bit of teaching and writing.

Working toward a Masters in History - Holocaust & Genocide Studies

Have you read any of David Gushee's work? Righteous Gentiles of the Holocaust: Genocide and Moral Obligation.

Aquatic Basketry.

Did you go for the underwater emphasis or just keep it standard?

What Seminary?

As for myself, my undergrad degree was a dual major of Psychology and Religious Studies. My graduate degree is in Marriage and Family Counseling.

majored in Molecular Biology, graduate studies in Genetics, now mostly doing cancer biology/pharmacology
Did/Doing something similar:

Biology undergrad, followed by grad school in Bioinformatics (currently)... did my Master's research in a high-powered cancer biology lab (they just embarked on a personalized cancer medicine project when I left) doing next-gen sequencing, and now doing rotations for my PhD.

First rotation is in a small RNA lab doing next-gen sequencing, and my next rotation will be in a computational lab working on GPU processing and alternative splicing.

Still mulling over whether or not I want to add a Statistics Master's during my PhD.

I'll start studying Computer Engineering this fall, can't wait :)

Undergraduate: Psychology - Major -- Sociology - Minor Degree: BS

Grad School: Clinical Psychology - Major -- Sociology of Deviance - Minor
Degree: Ph.D.

Full Disclosure: When I went to school, we took notes on stone tablets ;)

Started off Engineering. Enjoyed my liberty too much, stayed up late nights, poker games, being lazy, slothful. Then switched to Business.

My degree never got me my first job. It was who I knew. Then I trained myself in this line of work till I am above average.

I don't just make computer programs. I make them crash faster.

My regret from college was not taking it seriously till it was too late.
I say my maturity was not there.

What Seminary?
I have applied and been accepted to two, Moody Theological Seminary in Chicago (I did my undergraduate work at Moody), and Grand Rapids Theological Seminary.

I still have a little time to decide which one I will attend.
