I've never allowed a balance to carry forward after it was due. My credit scores have always been top notch because of this.

Yes, I am that weirdo who spends responsibly. :p

Same here. I always pay the full balance at the end of the month.

I don't use or have any credit cards. Cash is my best policy. With a few exceptions (home, vehicle etc...), I don't buy anything on credit. If I don't have the cash on hand, I either don't buy it, or I save up for it later.

I use a "premium" Visa card, not because I need the credit but it is useful.

I spend every thing on it (10 k month inc my work refundable costs) and earned >$2'000 of travel in the last 12 months, it provides free insurance when I travel, I get upgrades on flights, I use the Concierge services for do heaps of arrangements for me.

I virtually never carry a balance over to don't pay interest, and the cost of the card is less than 200 dollars a year so for me it provides value.

I pay for everything possible by credit cards, pay them off every month (two of them are auto-pay from my checking account), and all offer cashback including various rotating 5% offers. I save a lot of money over the year on this. Visa, MC, Discover, and Amex-labeled Citibank (good for 1% at Costco, including gas).

BTW, Discover is good for 5% off on Apple (online) store purchases, even refurb or education store.
