Definitely not FaceTime.
I thought it would be something like iPhone on Verizon starting June 24th.
You were wrong then.
i knew it would be video chat but I thought it would be more of an ichat oriented version including IM in with it.
I was clueless because I forgot they haven't demoed video calling. I was hoping for something great and unexpected.
That they took the water sensors out. Oh well.
I was in one of the iChat chats before/durring the WWDC and someone mentioned that they thought the "One More Thing" to be regarding the Game Center considering they didn't mention it at all.
Yes, I am very disappointed that it is iPhone-iPhone only. Hopefully someone will figure out a way to make a desktop client.
This OMT was really boring. Video calling is something I already did way back in 2006 with a simple feature phone .
Video conferencing, but hoping there would be an iChat for iOS or Skype perhaps.
that's exactly what I thought.
I thought the OMT was gonna be that magic-touch-slate-thing that was "leaked" all over Engadget and TUAW this morning.
I knew it would be FaceTime. Obviously didn't know the name though.
iChat application native.
well as they said its OPEN. meaning anyone can adapt it. I wouldn't be surprised if they built facetime into ichat on mac. plus since its open devs might have access to it to add to their aim clients.
I dunno, maybe something to do with Mac considering it was WWDC?
a video chat client... but was hoping for also factory unlocked haha
FaceTime will be popular with horny teens. Expect taking cybering to a whole new level.
... Multiple carriers now offering iphone. Being locked into one very poor carrier is the main flaw with this and all iphones.. When I replace my first gen iphone, it looks like it will be an android phone for me.
It would have to be horny teens w/ rich, guilt-ridden parents since right now it's only iPhone 4 to iPhone 4.
