I love how everyone is assuming that by 'naming' it, the OP means like a pronoun that refers to the iPhone, and NOT what iTunes prompts you to do. Mine is just my full name's iPhone.

I do really like the Titanic name though. You could use some other words that fit with the whole "syncing/sinking" play on words. Perhaps "Your battleship" so it would read "Syncing 'your battleship'..."

Yeah, i'm not too great with names.. I also name my pc's to the CPU or model if it's branded: My media center is called "DC7700p", my i7 sys is simply named "i7", my HP Compaq notebook is named "6910p", my Lenovo "X61", etc. 😛

Come to think of it, only my Mac is using the name Apple suggested.. "Dieter's Mac", time to change that to MBP13 to match the rest. 😉
