In about five years I'll probably become an American citizen (I'm a permanent resident now), so I'll let you guys know what I think of myself then......:D

I love Canada. A bit cold though.

People or weather? :)

I've been up to the north twice now in winter. Once to Whitehorse, and the other to Iqaluit. It was -36 to -39. You don't need to know the C or F, because at -40 the scales coincide. One day it "warmed up" to -31, and you know.... it actually made a difference. I could partially unzip my jacket (though I still had 4 layers on below that).

And anyone who has driven in winter in that kind cold immediately know what you mean when you refer to "square tires". Sigh... the good old days....

I think Canadians rank higher than U.S citizens in the smugness meter.

I also love how Canadians (I know a few) get upset when people refer to the US as America (they are quick to say Canada is part of North America) until things go sour then they are quick to disown the 'America' title :(

I'm Canadian, I grew up and lived in Canada until last year, and I don't know a single Canadian (and I know way more than a few) that would ever get upset when people refer to the US as America.

I think that your Canadian friends might be messing with you. However, they are correct: Canada is a part of North America.:p

Maybe I just know some hostile internet canucks :(

I'm not going to lie, that link made me like canadians slightly less than I did before  . I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone get quite that angry.

SLC

Which clip made you angry? The Fox "News" clip that mocked the Canadian Army just as we lost yet another soldier in Afghanistan.... I think that makes it 116 now, or the Canadian Comedian who took offense.

And before anyone else mocks the Canadian army, they were specifically asked for by the Pentagon due to their training and discipline. If you factor in population of the US is x10 - well you do the math. 116 soldiers dead, and Fox mocks them.

Tom Green has never been my favourite comedian.... but he certainly didn't offend my sensibilities with this particular rant.

Hmmmmmmm.......... Did you happen to say that you think Canadian beer sucks?

No but I have heard it tastes like moose piss

No offense but it does. Molson and Lebatts both both have that eau de moose taste. I used to love Fosters beer until they started brewing it in Canada, then wham same thing happened to it. I'm sure residents of Canada feel the taste was improved :D

No offense to you, but if all you've tried are Molson and Labatt's, then you haven't tried Canadian beer. I wouldn't drink that stuff if they served it at a bar here in LA. That beer isn't representational of what Canadian beer is all aboot :D. Try Creemore Springs (or even Alexander Keith's Pale Ale) and get back to me.

Foster's? Ewww..... Australians don't even drink that stuff.

It was just a matter of time. If you're going to talk about Canadians, it'll eventually turn to weather, hockey and beer. Weather and hockey have been covered, now its beer's turn. Then, I think we've covered it all. :p

(Shhhhhh!)

I agree.

Nothing to see here Americans, move along.

Brrrr, yuck, Canada.
