My doubt is also related to this thread so I felt I should post it here instead of opening another one.
I'm thinking of buying an Ipod Touch mainly for browsing the internet. Sometimes I don't want to boot my computer so I use my crappy cellphone, but it's not very pleasant to use since it has extremely low RAM and extremely slow processor.

My first question: Is the Ipod Touch worth for this kind of use? Is it easy to browse the internet with it? Is there anything better for a similar price and similar size? (I don't want a tablet, too big to carry arround)

The second question is: right now I can only afford the 8GB version. Do you think it will do? Do you think I will regret buying it?
I'm not much of a fan of small-screen games. For gamming I use my high end desktop, so I won't have that many apps. I will probably have <500 songs, some cool apps and browse the internet a lot. What would be your opinion about the 8GB for me?

Thank your for your attention, sorry for the occasional english mistakes, I'm clearly not a native-speaker.

Att,

Gabriel

I use my 32G ipod 4G to listen to music, play games (mainly) and facetime. I use my iPhone 4S for mail, cal, messages, calls, browsing.

I'm very similar. I decided I needed a separate iPod after I had a couple of times when I had to stop listening to music to preserve my iPhone battery if I was out all day and using it a lot.

I use my iPhone for the serious things (calling, email, calendar, contacts etc) and the internet on 3g, which makes even more sense now with Siri. I use the iPod Touch for music, internet (if I have Wifi) and the occasional games. I also fill it up with video if I go away.

One other benefit of having a separate iPod for music is that when I bought a 4s I just got a 16gb one as I don't have to worry about storing music or video on it. The savings I made on that meant that the iPod hasn't cost me much at all.

I use mine mainly for listening to tunes, checking email, and making and receiving phone calls.

By the way nooby...it's "their" not "there"

You don't need to go around policing people on their grammar.

The OP simply asked a question. If you want to correct people on their grammar, go become an English teacher.

My IPod has replaced newspapers, my planner, and sometimes my computer. I use it for . .

IReadG, an offline Google reader RSS app for all of my news, sports news.
Instapaper, for reading offline, Twitter, reading only, I don't post. Sports radio (WFAN-NY, ESPN1050), XM in my car, my key chain shoppers cards (Key Ring),
audio books, music, movies (when I'm stuck in an airport), in addition to alarm, notes, flashlight, internet browsing, email, shopping list (GroceryIQ), many games.

Once the newness wore off as I knew it would, I gave mine to the kids.

Despite the fact my iPhone is capable, I still really enjoy playing my music on my Classic. The huge storage volume is addicting. A great source of mobile backup as well.

I'm thinking about a new ipod touch to replace my 2g...but I can't decide between that and an iPhone 4 w/ bad ESN. :D

recommendations? I really like the better camera on the iphone...

I use mine to ensure I know how to use 'there' and 'their' in the correct manner.

I hear you can use them for music too, though iTunes does it's best to stop that happening. :)

You got my vote Hell Diver!!
