Okay folks... let's make a decision.
iCall. sounds right to me.
I kind of like PhonePod.
Wait. Maybe I don't.
I'm down with MacPhone, with all their lil change from "i-" to "Mac-"
I think it will be iPod something. Like "iPod cellular" or maybe something more like "iPod talk"
Nah. It's too long, and it doesn't blend. I think it'll be iSomething.
How about... the iPhone?
What is wrong with Apple phone?
iPod Jingle would be cool.
iPod Mobile and iChat Mobile roll off the tongue nicely.
How about just the Apple iPhone? I think that, if and when it is released, it will get more coverage that a VoIP phone from Cisco, and i think we shouldnt change what we call it. If you wanna talk about the Cisco one, say that thats what it is.
But this could cause a bit of a dillemma in some places...
Sure, but I think both are kind of bad names.
iPod Mobile - The iPod is just as mobile as the iPod Mobile would be.
iChat Mobile - This would really only make sense if iChat was given some sort of phone integration, to allow you to call people on their phone lines.
Macphone and Macphone Pro!
You guys crack me up!
I would get "The MACphone."
I was thinking along the lines of HandiMac or Mac Nano if it's a smartphone.
It's a whole new product line.
It's not an iPod. It has iPod functionality.
So having an i infront of the name isn't really necessary.
It's not a mac. It's a hand held device.
I don't think it'll be any of these names.
I have a feeling it'll be something totally different and will be a new brand name in the apple world.
AirPhone or AirConnect. It would be nice to let AirPort Extreme and AirPort Express play with the other kids.
There's already a product called iVoice. Its an iPod speaker similar to the Bose Sound Dock.
As for the Apple phone I kind of like iMobile.
It will take on the iPod brand or the Mac brand, none of the others like iCell (no one in europe calls it a cellphone, over here it is a mobile) or iCall, iTell will have a chance.
Since no one has ever bought a Zune there won't be any legal problems.
i am sick and tired of the whole iAnything naming convention personally. they should just call it the apple phone.
but they will call it the iPod Phone
How bout' the pPod? (p=phone)
