How about if they made it the old brick style cell phones and call it the iZachMorris? Or they make is like the old star trek things where they tap their pins on their chest (thats what they did, right? I never really watched it though) and call it the iTrek.
Also,
iTalkie
iCellie
iCallU
iCanUHearMeNow?
iMnotHearLeaveAMessage
iCantwannatalknowillcallyoulater
iRing

i think its gonna have a i in front of the name so its recognized by those ipod owners who dont really know what a mac is (macphone).

i-m going to take all the trademark guys outside and have them shot?

:D

When Stalin had his stroke no one had the courage to even enter his room, i wonder if anyone at Apple Towers had the balls to even talk to Steve yesterday?

:D

Well they could go along the lines of LG's chocolate and call it apple. Though this could get confusing Apple's apple...

Or they could go along the lines of motorola's Q and just call it a letter.

The Apple i

I like iComm for some reason, not exactly sure why. Doesn't really sound like a good product name per say (more of a company name or something) but it just rolls off the tongue nicely.

In honesty almost all of those names sound terrible to me, how about let's just wait and see if it exists and/or ever gets released by Apple before we try to seriously "call" the name :p

it's still the iPhone. The iPhone wasn't the name of the product, it was the name of the idea. the idea is a moble phone made by apple which syncs perfectly with OS X. the concept was nicknamed iPhone so that you don't have to type a mobile phone made by apple which syncs perfectly with OS X. The idea is still the same, so the name should stay the same. iPhone is still iPhone.

I think we all get the premise that it was never to be called the iPhone in the first place. I think somewhere Apple (Steve maybe, even) said that wasn't its name. But now, because of Cisco, and for the reason purely of symantics it is best, I believe, to give the as-yet-to-be-realeased product a new name.

I would be very surprised if this didn't have iPod in its name. Would be crazy not to leverage that brand.

It's official!

We have a winner...

MacPhone & MacPhone Pro

So uh... use that name. Or something... if you want to.
