Cutting packages, somewhat using it as a prybar for opening things, opening food items, occasionally using it for cooking purposes, the list goes on. For me the main focus is around cooking with my folder. As for my multitool (which also has a knife, but mostly useless), it's main use comes in when I have to open a beer bottle, screw some things, light a fire (good for winter time), or strip wires (been a while since I did this, but I did a lot of robotics and electrical engineering in the past).@saberahul why do you carry a knife? I don't get all the people who carry knives around. There are other things much more useful: good gaffer tape and WD40 come to mind.

There are even much more useful things than a plain knife: a Leatherman Micra or a Gerber Dime, for instance, are much smaller and have pliers. How often do you need a 3"+ non serrated blade?
