But I guess most CPUs shut down if they are too hot, but some actually melt themselves due to by thermometers.
I use to have a wall of death here at work that had exploded/burn/smashed electronics nailed/pinned to it--burnt cpus are common
My prized piece was done by an old coworker. He took the top plate off of an old HD and then used the power plug and converter from an external cd-writer to give it power--we now have a spinning shiny HD disk on our wall
