A combination of Lightroom, Photoshop, FCP and normal nerditry and day to day use.

Google Chrome, MS Word for school work, listening to music, and watching Netflix and "acquired" movies. I could do all of that on a PC, but I got my first MBP for college in 2009 and didn't want a Vista machine. I also didn't want to deal with virus "protection" and had heard good things about AppleCare. Now I have a fully fledged Apple ecosystem that works the way I want it to. I do supplement it with Google web services and Microsoft apps though.

What do you guys do mostly on your MacBook Pro?

Writing and preparing lecture materials mostly. I also use it to airplay on Apple TV. If you haven't heard of this program called Scrivener you should check it out if you do any writing at all.

My old roommate switched from Dell laptop to Macbook Pro for one reason - OSX simplicity. At first, I didn't like OSX very much I am happy with Windows 7 for photo work. Until recently I wanted to try Powerbook G4 with Snow Leopard, it was great OSX. Powerbook G4 itself is not enough for me so I went to Macbook Pro, it was a great machine. Now with rMBP, I finally able to use FCPX a lot and PSCS6 and Aperture. They are so perfect. I am a freelance digital artist. By the way I tried Adobe Premiere Pro on Windows 7 desktop, it was hard to learn how to use it for video editing. :apple:

i am part of the stereotype, i use it for photoshop and illustrator and editing photos for clients.

Nothing beats the colour of the macbook display imo. you can calibrate it pretty close to print if you want.

Web browsing, media consumption, minor gaming and school work which includes design work with Photoshop and Illustrator.

So... basically just normal stuff that anyone could do with any computer.

I don't have a Mac for any specific reason. I tried it out because of my curiosity after being a long term PC user. I ended up liking OS X and Mac hardware design way more over any PC in the market so here I am.

I use my MBPr for email, graphic design, image processing, product mockups, gaming and as a tv. I have two 27inch monitors connected to it so I usually have Hulu/Netflix, email, reminders and Finder open on the right side screen while I do work on the left side screen. I push my MBPr everyday and it performs like a champ.

Editing video, web browsing, watching porn, drawing, photos editing everything like on the normal PC or laptop. Rarely I'm even rendering 3D animations but Macbook PRO is not really pro for things like that : ( But if I must, I do.
