the only thing is I dislike is how the cards are so bulky and sticks out the side.... wrecking the clean macbook pro style...lol
Is there any that just offers 1 eSata port and is totally flush with the side of the macbook pro ?
for example...check this beast.
I think the user is referring to being flush with the side, such as this example card:

Which would actually look pretty nice.
there is:
http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Other World Computing/EXP34SATA2P1/
the only reason to do FW800 over esata at this point is expandibility. FW800 can chain X amount of drives where most esata solutions only offer space for 2xHD
I have a 2 port USB 2.0 expresscard in there.![]()
Be careful, not all of them support cards bigger than 8GB!!
I generally just poke it and wonder when I'll find something useful to put in it.
Can you post which CF card reader you have for your MBP express card slot?
Which one? I'm thinking about getting a USB card so my external drives can connect directly instead of through a hub.
Here you go, Owltech (日本).
Don't think it'll be much help for the majority. Description says it's only been tested to 8Gb but i've tested
it to work perfectly fine with both 32Gb and 64Gb.

I stick my finger in it to make sure the spring loaded mechanism is still fully functional, other than that, nothing.
