Tell me all about it.
thumb drive? as in flash drive?
i lost it. stupid things too small.
i want a wallet that it fits in comfortably.
does anyone know of such thing?
Mine mostly has work stuff on it and some pictures of my kids.
Consider an even smaller "drive" instead of a bigger wallet? Sandisk makes some SD cards that fold to reveal a USB "connector".
I just use it to temporarily hold school projects so I can easily transfer between home and school
I have a 32mb SanDisk, got it a long time ago. I keep schoolwork and (believe it or not) xbox bios's on it. This thing has been dropped in a puddle, stepped on, you name it, it was even on my keychain for a while, and it still works perfectly.
Why don't you tell us what you keep on yours...?
I keep some work related files on my 128MB pen drive, but always try to keep as much space as possible free for those times I really need to move some files...
I kept a stash of pr0n on my 512 one. Then I lost it. In Cardiff. Left it in a computer, some lucky bastard made off with it.
That was probably my brother.
Um, that's why you put it on the ring with your car keys. I'm sure if you keep up with your car keys that you'll keep up with your flash drive.
Well, I don't actually have one yet; I don't really need one (I have an iPod) but they are really COOL!
My music since my thumbdrive is my ipod shuffle. Apart from that it's occasional Word files for class
A bit of this and a bit of that.
I usually just use mine to transfer files around and occasionally as an additional backup for some of my school work.
I have a 512MB SanDisk Cruzer Micro that I bought about a year ago for college. Obviously so, I just keep a third back-up of all of my school assignments and research on there.
"Free" programs, school garbage, and my macintosh (running system 7 through basilisk)
Mine contains various school files and my PC first aid kit, for when my friends get bogged down with spyware and viruses...
i recently got a 'kingmax super stick'... it's 1G and it's seriously tiny! advertised as the worlds smallest anyway, whatever.
I keep most of the stuff from portableapps.com on it (for my work pc, and friends/family pc's).. portable firefox, etc... fantastic!
I also keep some tv episodes and other random files...
I seem to have a whole heap of devicies with almost the same content on them these days.. my mobile phone holds simular data, my iPod, usb stick, urgh!
Until may, copy #3 of my thesis chapters and data files (and some pretty graphs).
Now? Where am I -keeping- my usb drive might be a better question.
I have a 512mb with OS9 on it. I use it as a boot disc.
Microsoft Office files for my easy computer science summer course.
me a few random programs that I find my self needing when workign on some else computer.
School projects are stored on it and files from school.
solution manual or 2 (more school crap).
A few users names that I can never rememeber.
And txt file call
Guy house. Happens to be the WEP key for the wireless. Find it so much easier to just give that to someone when they come over and want on the internet. Plus takes a lot less time than entering it manually.
nothing... I have one... but never use it. I always forget it and I just end up email the files to myself.
usually a few word files that i need to bring on-the-go...xD
Network boot crapolar and Ghost.
All kinds of school-related stuff, music (the thumb drive is also an mp3-player) and some applications, Like Blender 2.42, Virtual Dub and VLC.
See theres a problem with that whole key ring idea however. Sony decided it would be smart to put the ring hole on the lid, and not the actual unit. Ive heard of the lid and the unit detaching and the user is stuck with just an empty top.
