The only thing I truly miss is the nested Dock folders. This was in Leopard's developer builds, and actually wasn't removed until a much later build, I think 9A557 or something.

FLUID IU!!!

Leopard's UI is jerky compared to Tiger and it bugs the hell out of me. Expose isn't as smooth as it used be. Changing the dock the the old ribbon style back in tiger helps a little but not much. The only macs I find which have fluid UI on leopard are: 24" imac with not much installed on it and mac pro. Even the current 17" macbook pro fails to deliver silky smooth UI on leopard. WHy apple WHYY

How do you view all the items in spotlight if there's no view all may I ask?

is there like a scroll bar or you simply can never see them much like in stacks ;)

Same here!

The ability to navigate to any item in a folder that was placed in the dock, with one mouse click was very functional and useful. Replacing that with the useless stacks feature was a huge mis-step.

yup.. i second that!

yah.. the jerky ui experience on my macbook pro 17"/2.4GHz is very very disappointing... it's really bad in: the dock (magnification, genie effect, (especially with the default 3D dock.. i've turned the 3D dock off because of it.. and it helped.. but then again, you shouldn't have to do that.. it should have been working correctly from the start)), expose/spaces, widgets, and quick look.. Leopard just feels half baked in terms of the user experience... like they rushed it out to meet their deadline.. but at the expense of refining the UI... tiger felt a lot more polished and smooth in terms of these elements.

Personally, I just miss the rock solid feel of Tiger by the end, 10.4.10. Leopards enhancements (AutoFS, QuickLook, Spaces, Time Machine) outweigh any unreliability of Leopard. Although, it does feel half baked for Apple. Almost ... dare I say it? Windowish!

ps. My Expose is actually smoother for me and Spaces is plenty buttery. My 3D dock is a tad slower than Tiger's but not much slower than the refresh rate on my 12" PB's LCD so it really doesn't bother me.

I miss the fact that Office Mac didn't crash and that INkscape and Gimp actually worked. Should not have upgraded before my thesis defense.

I miss AirTunes with Front Row.
I also miss the HTTPMail plugin for Mail, so I've finally binned my Hotmail account, now that Entourage wont send either. (f****** Microsoft)
