think 100% maybe too bright. What you set yours to? the default that came with the watch?

Had it in the middle for the S3. and changed it to max on my S4, because the saphire screen reflects a bit more.

Mine has always been on 100% max since the first Apple Watch. It still gets me through the day until I go to sleep. I don’t wear my watch at night so it charges then.

100% max brightness.

Auto brightness always for me. Works like a charm.
Where do you see "auto" as a choice?

I haven't come across an option to disable the ambient light sensor.

I believe the ambient light sensor is always turned on no matter what you set, so 100% in a dark room is not as bright as 100% outdoors in the sun.

I mean I didn’t change anything. Whatever the light sensor does, works for me well.

I'm curious if or where the auto option is as I've not seen that. I have my AW 4 set to minimal brightness. I only have 3 options. Minimal which seems plenty bright to me, let's call it 50% or Full.

There's no manual setting for auto brightness (On or Off) - it's based on the ambient light sensor.
