Battery life really isn't looking so hot for me. After just over 12 hours since my last full charge (and the first, actually), this is what I've got--it's horrible:

I got better battery life on my 2 year old 3G. Here's hoping it's a calibration issue. I'm letting it drain down completely (heck, it doesn't have far to go!) and we'll see what happens with the next full charge.

Until I've done a few full cycles and let myself settle down to everyday use (as opposed to my constant testing different things out right now), I'll reserve my battery judgement then.

I upgraded from a 3G and it seems slightly better, although not as good as they had made it seem. Not a big deal though, as I have chargers pretty much everywhere I go. Has anyone done any of their own testing compared to before?

make sure you condition the battery...let it die and sit for 3-4 hours, and then fully charge it in 1 charge cycle, that will get it reporting the correct percentage

PLEASE SOMEONE DOES THE MAINS CHARGE LAST LONGER THAN USB OR ARE BOTH CHARGES THE SAME??????? I'm begging!!!!!!

A fully charged battery should last the same however it was charged. But I expect it will be slower to charge from USB (and so more likely to be not quite full).

However, I'm talking from experience of charging other devices - I don't have an iPhone(*) so cannot speak from experience.

(*) I'm cautious - I'm happy not to have it on day 1, or even day 21, rather than buy it on trust.
