If decent WiFi is available, that. Otherwise; 3G or EDGE.

I don't know who in their right mind wouldn't, better battery life, faster data, etc.

honestly, been reading alot on the subject and ALOT if not everyone who has talked about it said that wifi ate more power then 3g...

i havent tested it myself as yet, but will....gotta rejailbreak my phone after a reset for testing.

If I keep getting numbers like this with 3G; I will definitely stick with 3G and cancel my Comcast WiFi.....:eek::eek:

The wifi radio would actually use more power if the nearest access point were so far away you could barely connect, and it had a slow connection to the net. But it's usually doesn't, so the lower transmitter power and faster broadband data rate usually available with wifi means a lot longer battery life for the same amount of data, compared with 3G.

And for phone calls, Edge might use less power than 3G

So I often only flip on 3G on when I'm not near any available wifi access points, and need some data.

I use WiFi when I'm in my house but I use 3G everywhere else. I don't care about the extra battery drain while I'm in my house and surrounded by chargers.

I leave my phone on edge only and use wifi at home and ofc and have a wifi access point in my car connected to Verizon's network so I can use wifi in the car.

Cheers,

Definitely NOT photoshop; I AM really that FAST....

If that is not photoshop, than how can I get speeds like that. By the way on the AT&T carrier, it should be all caps not "at&t".

That would be sweet though. That would be so fast that the phone would load pages by just thinking about it. NICE.

Actually, the at&t carrier logo is for a JB FW 3.0.1/FW 3.0 ispw and I think the designer had other ideas when it was produced, maybe making a statement by using non-cap letters; available via Cydia...:p

This is definitely the fastest I've seen for any iPhone, so I took a screenshot and posted for all to see....:p

Oh cool. I see AT&T skipped over the 7.2Mbps release and went straight to the 16Gbps release.

I turn off wifi while at work since we dont have the wifi running. I get perfect 3g signal at work.

When I get home I turn on Wifi.

Don't be gullible. Do you really think his speed is 16,000 times faster then yours? You think we're going to get over the air speeds over 30 times faster then USB transfer speeds?

Im thinking he got those speeds via wifi kept that page open and walked out of the wifi area.

Please tell me you're joking. Show me what WiFi network your on that gives you 16Gbps. Emphasis on the G, short for gigabyte. WiFi can't even come close to 16 Mbps

True but if it's not a photoshop (which we know it is) how else do you explain it?

Just playing devils advocate here.

3G is non-existent in my area although AT&T charges for it because the 'iphone is 3G capable'. I wonder how they get away with charging (the extra $10 over the prior iPhone data plan) for something they are not providing.

wow... that's interesting to me.... we're in the desert and we have 3G yet you are in a blooming metropolis :D and you don't have it????
