What do you use Notes app for?

For passwords, credit card numbers I forget, bank account numbers. Endless possibilities. Not only that, but I'll never lose em cuz iCloud has them too.

This is dangerous, if you loose your iphone someone can still your credit card and other confidential information. For this I use password plus, works over the cloud too and a desktop version companion allows you to add/change or delete informaition and easily sync over the cloud.

What do you use Notes app for?

Things I generally can't remember such as all those travel related numbers, lists, reference info that I regularly rely on, etc.

In short, notes.

You might not lose them with iCloud but others might end up with them as well. Good luck trusting such a solution! I'd suggest finding something that at least encrypts the information.

You don't even have to lose your iPhone. Ever heard of security breaches? iCloud isn't inherently invulnerable. You'd also have to ensure that you always log out of iCloud.com and take security with your laptop and anything else that iCloud syncs to very seriously.

I retired my habitual use of a small Moleskine notepad that I carried every where with me to jot down notes.

Now I use notes on my iPad, MBP & iPad as they are syncd via the iCloud.

Dinner List

I make a list of Meals that I have the things on hand to make. When a meal is prepared it is removed from the list. When I get home from grocery shopping I add the meals I have purchased for to the list. I never have to rummage to see what I have this way and it's a breeze to plan our meals.

I use it when I'm watching a movie rental or tv show and see something I want to remember so I just type the movie or whatever in there to check out later on Netflix.
