So do you use a phonograph as well? I had friends in college that were audiophiles and had a nice analog receiver and would play most of their music on their phonograph. To me there was nothing better than listening to a Radiohead album on vinyl while sipping on a cup of coffee.

I have a couple records but most of my music was bought on CD before I really knew the difference. Anyways I couldn't exactly have played a record on my car stereo when I had a good system (which was stolen). There weren't options like the iPod then.

The main problems with records being that the more they are played the worse there condition. With wholesale lots being the only way I'd buy them. I just haven't been interested in taking the risk as I know the best albums probably pop, crackle and skip like crazy.

I wouldn't mind getting some reel to reel tapes or records of choice albums though. If I had the room and money I'd probably get a lot of them, I'd also get a vacuum tube stereo. Although most of my listening would probably still be from Apple Lossless rips of CDs. Since it is much easier to push play and go about my day. If I wanted to sit down and listen then I would switch over to vinyl.
