I wonder how people always come with threads like these. Each time Apple release a new iOS (or the old iPhone OS) people came saying: "We don't need JB anymore".

Even if you have all these 'new' features, jailbreaking your iPhone will make it even better. What about cool things like Barrel? :)
We just don't need Lockinfo/MobileNotifier/Wi-fi sync and those other features that comes native in iOS 5.

sbsettings and wififorum (which they used to offer through appstore). other than that they've pretty much implemented just about everything else i needed. and maybe tethering for unlimited data plans, even though i don't need it (it would still be nice to have just in case).

eventually they'll probably get to a point where the only reason to jailbreak will be only for people to pirate software.

Bitesms, sbsettings, fakeclockup, five icon dock and springboard..once ios5 comes out those are all I will ever need

Quickreply (the UI they have for Twitter looks pretty nice. I'm not sure why they didn't just incorporate that into the messages app) and SBSettings.

Plus, there's always cool little things that come out of the JB community. It'll be really interesting to see how they incorporate and improve upon notifications.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/9A5248d Safari/6533.18.5)

5 icon springboard

To much wasted space, especially on the iPad, I don't have one but it just looks stoopid with all that extra wasted space

I think I would need the Messages app to be virtually identical to BiteSMS. I would also need something like SBSettings but make it look more iOS-like. I don't really like how SBS looks right now even with all the themes. Something like Activator would be nice too. But really just quick reply texting would be wonderful. :D

New notifications
Quick reply
SBSettings
Snooze feature for calendar reminders
Activator
5 icon rows
Something like Springtomize for serious customization

SBSSettings mainly as I've nearly always jailbroken for that one app alone since it's inception.

Quick access to brightness setting from multitaking bar (as on the iPad) would help...

--all the functionality of biteSMS in the native Messages app
--SBSettings-like functionality
--theming

How about the ability to not have to jailbreak? The Nexus 1 phone allows you to re-ROM and root it just by confirming a dialog that you are doing so at your own risk.

i don't think i could be convinced to refrain from jailbreaking.

i have become accustomed to too many tweaks.

those 2 things, and lockscreen information.
i cant stand havign a pointless lockscreen.

to me, the date and time are on the homescreen. so why even have a lockscreen?

We have a lockscreen so we do not "accidentally" do anything while it is in our pockets. Trust me, a lot of things can happen if you would not have a lockscreen. As well, it is possible for your phone to "go in use" if you did not have a lockscreen once in your pocket.

As well, there is lockscreen information coming from Notification Center.

Five icon dock does not really look well with the dock on iOS 4 +. SBSettings is nice, but the A5 Dual Core in later iPhone's should load up the settings app siginificantly faster enough to toggle certain items such as WiFi or bluetooth. [SBSettings is still nice though] We already have springboard silly. I think you ment Winterboard. For me, a custom wallpaper behind my apps is all I need.

Infinifolders like feature where I can store as many as I want in a folder, quick way to toggle wifi/3g/airplane, f.lux, landscape orientation lock, Tab+.

All of those seem to be things that should just be there, with the exception of f.lux, which should be on the real app store D:<

Allow me to do whatever the F... I want to with it because it's my F...'ing device: install whatever software I want, change whatever sounds I want, change whatever colors I want, etc...

The #1 thing that Apple could do to get me to stop Jailbreaking:
Give us ROOT Access so we can tweak, install what we want!

I need fully functional Lock Screen and since Apple won't allow Lick Info in the App Store... More specifically I need appointments, reminders (todo), and weather on the lock screen... the things Apple chose to leave out of the notifications shown on the lock screen!
