I’m not allowed to praise a company or its products without being blind or brainwashed? Bizarre “thinking” there.

You can do whatever you want, but the fact that you’re sitting here here trying to defend a generic fast food company shows that they’ve got to you with their marketing. The company isn’t anything special, it’s just a fast food chain. You can like the food better than other places, of course, I just don’t see why you’re trying to pretend that the company is something it isn’t. Do you really think Chic-Fil-A is that special or that they make higher quality or healthier food than other chain fast-food joints?

Better than most fast food. They do know their way around a chicken sammich. And their lemonade is fantastic
Speaking of lemonade, I stopped by my local store (drive-thru) for lunch. I was really looking forward to a large fresh lemonade all day. Wouldn't you know...the young girl tells me they are out of lemonade.

If it is fresh squeezed every day, how can you be out, when there is a grocery store 100 yards away? I was really disappointed.

Growing up, we had Chicken Delight. It was delivery.

"Don't cook tonight, call Chicken Delight!"

"It's Broasted(tm)"

Was it good? Best chicken sandwich in Denver might be at Old Major. It uses thigh meat, rather than breast meat which is actually a lot more flavorful. Crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Really tasty.

After visiting my wife's family in Nashville, I do have to say I like Prince's and Hattie B's. I tried the extra hot at Prince's. I couldn't feel my tongue for a while :0

At Garbanzo the plates of course are the healthier option and generally what I get *when* I do go there.

Comparing Chicken to Chicken, the Garbanzo chicken plate is 160 calories, 8g fat, 2g saturated fat, 115mg cholesterol, 135mg sodium, 21g protein. Of course depending which veggies and sauce you add, it will increase those numbers somewhat, but it would be *almost* impossible to reach numbers like the chicken sandwich mentioned above. Wraps and Pitas are all good as well, but of course they do increase the fat by 2-3 grams and carbs by about 60.

Mad Greens I like to build my own rather than their stock ones, so I wouldn't be able to make a good recommendation there.

We have Truefood Kitchen here too, but they aren't North or Northwest so won't go into that one either. I wasn't aware that the discussion was only about mass market fast food :)

Also there is Sweet Tomatoes/Soup Plantation and Panera which has a ton of salads, PeiWei which has some quinoa and cauliflower rice entrees with steamed proteins and Chipotle/Qdobo which have some bowls that aren't bad, Mod Market and others. But again, they aren't national or mass market.
Garbanzo and Mad Greens haven’t made their way to the east coast yet AFAIK. Haven’t heard of them or seen them in Philly, Delaware or Virginia.
They sound good though.

I'm aware there's a fast food business in the US called Chick-fil-A.

I've done some Googling but can't find out what "Chick-fil-A" means nor how it's pronouned - is it Chick-fil-'ay' or Chick-'filler' (which makes some sense as they fill buns with chick(en)).

Why is the A in uppercase whilst the 'f' of 'fil' is not?

What the hell does the name mean?

I am curious as to why someone who lives in another country would be at all even remotely interested in some fast-food chain in the US.... As has been pointed out, the information requested is already readily available when running a Google search. Perhaps there was another motivation involved in starting this thread..... ??

Not a fast-food fan here, I rarely have eaten in any of the many places we have in this country, Chick-fil-A included. I vaguely remember being at one once with friends when we stopped for a lunch break while in the midst of a busy and fun day and that seemed to be the only place around. It was....OK. Edible. None of us got sick afterward, so that's always encouraging! :) I suppose if one is planning a trip to the US, inquiring about some of our fast-food chains might be logical, but otherwise, why bother?

I thought Mad Greens was more widespread than it was, but checking locations it appears to be only in Arizona, Colorado, and Texas.

It appears that the only Garbanzo in VA is at the Student Union Building in Lynchburg and George Mason University in Fairfax.

Apparently, both Mad Greens and Garbanzo are Colorado-based, along with Smashburger, Qdoba, Chipotle, Noodles & Co., Quiznos, Suki Thai Noodle House, and Bombay Bowl. I was aware the latter ones were, but did not realize that Garbanzo and Mad Greens were also Colorado-based.

Perhaps wants to buy a franchise or two? They are on many lists, including Small Business Trends lists of franchises to consider.
