I'm not understanding this. I have tried pressing down a letter on my keyboard and positively nothing happens. Can you explain further please?

I just peeked and popped into this thread.
In the messages app if you hard-press on the contact circle you get a list of shortcuts to phone message, FaceTime or email them.
First off, I'm assuming you have the 6S. When you press on the keyboard, you should see the keys on the keyboard all "gray-out" and then you can move the cursor around.I'm not understanding this. It's more like a rrrreal heavy press, and it's inconsistent. I cannot perform it at will like I can with peeking and popping elsewhere. Seeing a video would be good.First off, I'm assuming you have the 6S. When you press on the keyboard, you should see the keys on the keyboard all "gray-out" and then you can move the cursor around.
It is a bit tricky to get the hang of, but it doesn't take a harder press than any other action. Press on the keyboard and don't lift your finger, when it greys out you can stop pressing (don't lift your finger) and now you can move the cursor over what you want to select and press again to start the selection, when first word is selected you can stop pressing (don't lift your finger). Now move your finger to the end of what you want to select and then lift your finger. It's more like a rrrreal heavy press, and it's inconsistent. Doesn't work for me, scratches head. Oh yeah I don't have a sammysung phone, that's why.You don't need 3dtouch for that. The samsung keyboard on my note3 can swipe to move the cursor as well.
Happens a lot to sammysung owners. Not much happening in their forums. They like to visit iPhone forums, it's where the action is. 13,000,000 owners would agree from just last weekend. That's good for you. You seem to be in the wrong forum.
Just realized you can hold down on a letter in the keyboard to place the cursor anywhere in the text. The letters on the keyboard blank out.

Every time a sammysung owner PEEKS into these forums to tell me what a mistake I made getting an iPhone, I POP them one.I just peeked and popped into this thread.
Feels good to see useful tips passed on.This is great, thanks!
I'm sure there are iPhone users that do the same.
Works consistently for me and used it for the first time today naturally and man does it save time. It's more like a rrrreal heavy press, and it's inconsistent. I cannot perform it at will like I can with peeking and popping elsewhere. Seeing a video would be good.
Actually, since there is no way to mark a text message as unread after you've seen it, this is one of the MOST useful applications of peek & pop I've seen.
Peep and poop sounds better.

Thanks for the tip I love that feature it was always a pain to get your cursor where you wanted it. Now it is so easyJust realized you can hold down on a letter in the keyboard to place the cursor anywhere in the text. The letters on the keyboard blank out.
