There will not be a Pre-Order for the iPad Pro It is simply buy and it ships to your location Friday, Sat, Monday or Tuesday. Apple At 8:00 EST The iPad Pro, will be available to purchase as well as its accessories.
Apple TV went on sale at 11.36pm AEST which was 4.36am PTAt 6:38 am PDT/8:38 am EST Apple began accepting orders forTV and will most likely do the same for iPad Pro.
And, just like the Apple TV launch, you risk getting it delivered after it's available in the store
I don't know about you guys, but I plan on staying up for the next 16 hours pressing F5.
Not to put the dark cloud to your silver lining, but doesn't that kinda assume that Apple are going to ship an overage of these things to stores on launch day? They already know it's a niche device, and they're not anticipating moving anything like Air 2 quantities on the opening salvo. They will have throttled the supply as tightly as their analysts tell them to.
I think it's entirely possible we'll be reading a lot of wailing and moaning about shortages by Monday afternoon
I doubt it, BB I was told is not even going to have a preorder and I was also told they will have enough to meet early demand. That tells me a) they are getting plenty or b) they don't anticipate lots of demand and whatever they get will meet the demand so no need for preorder.
I cannot say they will have all the variant colors and storage sizes though, I doubt many cellular ones if any.

Except for us lunatics on this board, I don't see a HUGE demand for the iPad Pro. To me it's sorta niche product. I honestly think we are all freaking out about staying up all night to make sure we order one. My bet is the sane people (not me) are laughing at us right now and will be able to walk into an Apple store and pick one up without any issue.
The MacBook 12" was a niche market too. We all know how that turned out. I know people still waiting...
With over 30 countries getting it on day 1, I expect not more than 10 cellular sets per store.
The "straights" always laugh at us. I can remember people staring at us in front of the Apple Store like we were a carnival freak show during previous iPhone launches.

Anyway, do not underestimate the power of the Apple marketing machine.
Of course a few more duds and 'that's all folks' (not to say the Pro will be a dud).

Some people, probably not many on this site, do not realise how empty their
lives are when they don't have a new Apple product launch to obsess about.
These last few days /hours are the best bit. It's like being a kid and counting
down to Christmas. Very sad but so exciting. Wife has no concept and only
comments about practical things like money and 'you do not need an iPP
when you already have an iPad'. What does she know!!
Yes, just another dumb aspect of recent product releases.
You have to work at it to get it this wrong time after time.
Some people take it way too far though like waiting in line for 4 days when all you had to do was rock up 3 and a half days before and easily snag your third choice.
I just ordered mine! Yay me! Unfortunately the pencil and keyboard wasn't available anywhere in my area though so I didn't purchase it thinking that they might have some in the stores by Friday. However, it did show that I can pick up my purchase today at my local Apple store. Let's hope. Gnite!
