$79.00 to upgrade iLife is hardly "a ton of money", especially considering your version is 4 years old.

obviously you did not read my entire problem If I upgrade I cannot use the programs because of my systems specs the only thing that i'm mad about is that I had no warning that once I paid $200 and upgraded my system that no matter what I did I would never be able to use these programs unless I get rid of what I spent 200 dollars on.
 
So apparently you can still get upwards of 1200 bucks for one of these things on ebay so I guess ill just try that and I might be able to get more from all the programs installed on it and stuff plus its 200 times better than any of the ones that are selling on ebay thanks for all your help but its really time to upgrade systems

Did you try installing 5.0.4?
