I think inevitably we will see a faster processor and perhaps an additional color in Matte Black. I also think the Apple Pencil will be expanded upon.

I personally would like to see 3D Touch, it would make a nice shortcut and convenience with a larger screen having to open up applications and multitasking quickly. If 3D Touch happens, likely a Haptic home button would follow.

Reduced bezels and an increased display would be welcomed as well.

I think the A10X and faster Touch ID are very likely for the next iPad Pros. 3D Touch might not make it to iPads because of the impracticability of a taptic engine in such a large chassis.

Some of the list is a given - latest processor bump, upgraded touchid, and eventually force-touch.

Amoled comes later, smaller bezels means nothing to me.

Most important on that list is more battery. I've been wanting that since the Air2 debuted with a smaller battery.

Everything starts from the battery.

Smaller capacity means more charging cycles on the battery per year. Ultimately, that means greater likelihood that your device will have to be replaced more often though battery replacement seems to be more prevalent with phones and less common on iPads.

I voted smaller bezel and more RAM. The processor is already plenty fast enough for me but more RAM would do a lot more for keeping the iPad smooth and future-proof. Smaller bezel would give me either a smaller iPad or a bigger screen. I'd be happy with either as long as the iPad doesn't get any bigger.

AMOLED screen would be nice, mainly for watching movies, but not necessary.

I only use 3D Touch on my iPhone for the keyboard trackpad, which the iPad already has with two fingers.

Faster Touch ID and the new home button would be great to have, but hardly at the top of my want list.

I don't need longer battery life but I wouldn't turn it down either. As long as Apple can keep it around 10 hours, I'm perfectly happy with that.

Really, I just want more RAM and a new design with smaller bezels as long as whatever design they go with isn't ugly.

16:9 Aspect ratio...
No head phone jack
Thunderbolt connector. (2)
Retina HD resolution

16:9 Aspect ratio...

Never...shudder.

If that is a key want for you, there are choices out there aplenty albeit...Android based.

Let's face it...if every single model of iPad since inception avoided 16:9...it will probably never happen and on that, I'm glad.

I am confused by the benefit for these:
16:9 looks terrible in portrait mode
Taking away the headphone jack likely won't make the iPad waterproof (what else is the point other than detracting functionality)

I'm sure we'll see the normal upgrades like a faster processor, maybe 6GB of RAM in the 12.9, maybe better display technology? Any of the above would be fine with me. Probably not enough to make me want to chuck my Air 2 yet, but ya'know. I guess the biggest things I want to see come to the iPad are software-related rather than hardware. I'm still currently satisfied with the performance of my iPad.

Amen. If they changed the ratio from 4:3 to 16:9, I would finally jump on the 'Apple is Dead' bandwagon.

For the poll, I chose 5 options:
Smaller bezel
Larger screen
More RAM
New home button
Matte black

But obviously I want it all :)

Amoled screen - that'd be nice
Smaller bezel or bezel lesss - For me, that'd be a deal maker (not a deal killer, but I'd definitely buy one with a smaller bezel)
A10x processor - A no-brainer. The next gen will have the A10X, like the previous 10x generations

More ram - Please please please! Hate the reload when task switching. That, or have the ability to dedicate RAM to certain apps, like Safari, FB...

3D Touch - My wife loves that on her 6S. I'm still in iPhone 6+/iPad 3...

Faster Touch ID - meh... 1-2 seconds each time isn't killing me, but this may be important to others.
Larger screens - Well, larger screen with same size is the same as the bezel question above.
Increased battery life (more than 10 hours)- That is a good thing. I'll even take a thicker (*gasp*) iPad with more electrons (and corresponding atoms for them to go to) for 2+ more hours.
New home button like the one on the iPhone 7/7 plus - Interesting, but not critical for me.
New colours (jet black and matte black) - mine is going in a case, so it's a non-issue

Some definite plusses that will motivate me to stand in line to get one:
macOS/iOS switchability - I know, it's a long shot, but that would be... AWESOME!
Mouse usage - another long shot, but it'd be great!
Place for :apple: Pencil - Logitech figured it out, why can't Apple?
Place for charger adapter - easy to lose gender changer - why?

I'd love to be able to use the current lightning hdmi connector to use dual screen on the ipad, coupled with mouse* support (I already use a bluetooth keyboard)

*I'd settle for magic trackpad support.

More ram and more battery are always good.

Removing the bezels on all the ipads. No home button. Virtual home button thru screen. Larger screens in the same physical size across the line. Give the iPad mini a pro version. Or perhaps the bezel-less 9.7" would become the new mini. The bezel-less 10.5" would become the middle size...and a bezel less 12.9" would shrink in physical size as well.

Wireless charging.

Remove the headphone jack to make room for bigger battery or other components.

True tone across the line.

Improved Apple pencil with magnet inside to adhere it to the iPad so less likely to lose it.

Make it faster and give ipads at least 4gigs of ram across the line. More for higher end models.

More color options for ipads perhaps.

I believe the question posed was WHAT FEATURES I WOULD LIKE TO SEE...
