Well, sometimes they look good. Plus they do have those square cut shorts. Now those are hot. :p

Noia I'm not so sure about. I did use to use it on Windows in the past, though.

Wait... so Pinstripe shows close buttons on the left side of tabs in that link you posted... is that a part of Pinstripe, just for looks, or is there an extension that does that? I only know about TabX, which leaves a button on the left of the tab and adds the close on the right.

Give TabMixPlus a try. Loads of customisations, including the X on the left, and the global X on the right. I can't use FFx without it.

Oh, and Noia Xtreme here.

Thanks -- actually, at that time, I was on 1.5.x... and that was part of why. Now I'm on 2.0.x and I have tab buttons on the left (without TabX), and I also got some help on MR :D to get rid of the siteicons in the tabs. So I like it perfectly the way it is. :)

bigger theme does slow down (if u ever be able to notice) the speed of opening of the app, but theoretically should not cause any memory leak.

classical, sexy, PimpZilla is back, fully support 2.0.0.x

my current fave is blue ice. i also like ipox and orbit blue.

and i 2nd the Tab Mix Plus recommendation. it's the reason i love firefox so much and can't leave it for either camino or safari. i'm a power tab surfer and just love what you can do with it.

Which one is FireFox??

I'm actually using iFox Smooth right now, which has the same types of buttons but a different tab bar (I hate Safari's tab bar). But, I have that configuration ready when one of my friends (or people on this form) complain that they don't use FireFox because it doesn't look "Mac" enough. That configuration of FF, if I also remove the status bar and the new/close tab buttons, will fool most people into thinking it's Safari at first. Some people have valid reasons for using other browsers, and I respect that, but if your only reason for NOT using FF is that it doesn't "look" right with your Mac, then you need to spend 5 minutes installing UNO and a decent theme.

Yeah, I know I could have done more to make the one on the left look even more like Safari. But I took that screenshot awhile ago. Also, that's not two close buttons; the one on the left is a "+", that's the new tab button. The other one, the "x", is the close tab button.

And no, I won't download anymore optimized builds of FF for OSX. It introduces some weird issues with buttons when you're trying to style them with CSS, and I'm a web designer so I can't have that.

mkrishnan,

Could you share how you got the tab buttons on the left and removed the siteicons in the tabs? It looks great. Thanks.
