I've been trying to grind Destiny 2 (Xbox One) between the crazy work shifts I've been doing recently.

It's been fun so far, cleared the story and some side missions and finally have a Lv20 Hunter. My clan consists of Destiny 1 veterans though who are at light levels at 270+. To be able to hang in the Raid, I need to get working on that uphill battle that is raising mine. Currently at 213.

Does your Destiny 1 level transfer over to 2?

No but your character does, everyone starts off fresh. I've basically done everything except the Nine and the Raid. I must say I'm enjoying Destiny 2 much more than the first one...I would of given up along time ago but they made every aspect better...except the shaders as a consumable

I'm at level 282 right now just waiting for my clan and online friends to catch up so we can hit up the last two things.

Bless

I've been sucked into the Persona 5 world. After finishing Catherine a few weeks ago I was craving more of Atlus' creativity. The first JRPG I played was FF7 and this game brings much of that magical feeling back.

Still hooked on Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle. I’ve finished the main game but I’m going through and 100%ing it, like a lot of Switch games I’ve been hooking on I really don’t want this one to end so I’m exploring and getting everything I can.

Got Rayman Legends queued up next, and I think Pokken is out soon so that’ll be the palate cleanser. Currently Neuro Voider is the cleanser... it’s pretty great!

Dark Souls 3:

Made good progress in the deep cathedral last night, made it to the elevator shortcut inside the cathedral. I'll admit that I died several times on the way there, but I was always able to retrieve my souls. :D

Right before I reached the shortcut elevator, I got summoned to another world! I had no idea what was going on, don't really know how that summoning jazz works! Luckily I found an item in my inventory to take me back before anything could happen. (Any way to tell if someone wanted my help or wanted to fight me?) Then I unequipped the something whatever blue sentinel thingie that apparently meant I was ready to be summoned. :p

I'm level 39 now. My main weapon is a +3 Red Halbert (or something). The only frustration is that its attack doesn't seem to increase when I level up my strength stat (or any other).

I'll admit that I died several times on the way there

Oh, I sure hope so! :D

Halberd is cool - I'm always a bit too anxious using those things as they seems so utterly slow compared to the straight swords I usually use (doesn't help that I have a +6 Dark Sword and +5 Uchikatana (or whatever it's called..)). But not as bad as the whip I guess :p Was so happy once I got it and wanted to go all Castlevania on those poor souls but alas, that thing got unequipped really fast.

Muso/Warriors games.

Dragon Quest Heroes 1 - Liked it a lot, great game.

Dragon Quest Heroes 2
- Liked it a lot, slightly better that the first game, though a weaker story. I do recommend playing the first gamer first. I liked both a lot. (I'm a DQ fan but as Muso/Warriors games both are quite good)

Samurai Warriors 4-2 - Terrible game. Looks like it could have been made in 2000 based on the art style and placement. Also it's so hard to tell the generals apart frrom the general army peons. There's a lot more wrong with this also. I don't recommend this game.

Dynasty Warriors 8 Extreme Complete Edition - Over complicated gamr title. It's quite a good Muso/Warriors game. It's quite standard as far as gsmes of this genre go. There's no proper dodge move but everything else works fine. The way the different weapons work is a little messy. Any character can use any weapon, but a character's favoured weapon gives them a few extra attacks - which vary in usefulness per character. The encyclopaedia is very nice as is the other game modes. It's a great game, despite the few flaws. I totally recommend it. Just remember to over level your character in free mode before you have to fight Lu Bu in story mode. Lu Bu is quite overpowered compared to all the other generals. It makes sense from a story perspective, but just something good to know from a gameplay perspective.

Hyrule Warriors - As a casual game it's alright. For players wanting to investing 50-100 hours plus into this game, a few serious flaws pop up. Heart pieces are worthless for A Ranking adventure mode stages. Armour badges are worthless for all the tougher adventure mode stages as they have no favoured element. The bosses are broken by design. When you are on a time limit (for A Rank) and you have to wair for boss RNG to revral it's weak point so you can attack it, that's totally broken. DQH does it better. All bosses are attackable at any time (for decent damage), the weak points however aren't always available or the are but are risky as it's hard to target them without taking massive damage yourself. Hyrule Warriors could have been a great Muso/Warriors game but a few game breaking bad design choices ruined the fun.

Destiny 2

Hunter - 285, already went flawless but haven't done the raid
Warlock - 279, just finished the campaign and currently grinding for better gear
Titan - gonna start on it this wknd so i have 3 playable characters for Trials, Raids and Iron Banner later this month

***also if u have an extra sparrow on one of your characters you can xfer via DIM or the Destiny app and ur low light character can use it regardless if they haven't finished the campaign

Uff, I just finished first missions on PS4 in Destiny 2 and I can say: this game is awesome! I love this, so beautiful image and quality. Tomorrow I will try Battlefield 1 :) . Absolutely love it!
If you still struggling with buying decision - go and buy Destiny 2, it's worth every penny! :D

Really hooked on Neuro Voider on Switch. Can’t get enough actually! I prefer playing it in handheld mode for level gameplay, and docked for bosses because they get a little too stressful!
[doublepost=1506127367][/doublepost]Oh I tell you what. I’ve been having some PSVR evenings recently. Been watching 3D Blu-ray films on it, playing through the bunch of VR games I bought early on and never got around to playing. The absolute best VR game I’ve played is O My Genesis. It’s so good! It’s a basic civilisation type game where you play a god watching over a planet, but you’ve gotta keep it safe from meteors and stuff like that. It’s really basic, looks incredible in person, and it’s just a joy to play.
Thumper is also a ton of fun. It’s spooky and engrossing. I hear it’s available on 2D on Switch as well but I can’t imagine that being as good, as the atmosphere is so thick in VR.
Tried the Spider-Man VR demo but it’s so pathetic. It starts off with a really fun shooting mini game that lasts ages, then you do a super quick story bit on top of a crane and it’s finished. Very weirdly paced. If I was the developer on it I’d have Spider-Man do some shooting up on the crane too and what we all wanted to experience loading it up- VR WEB SWINGING. Yup. It’s not in it. You shoot for ages, teleport up a crane, part of the crane falls down, credits roll.

Uncharted Lost Legacy.
Really enjoying it. I was getting a bit fatigued with the series but this is a nice change of direction playing as the two ladies, even if the core game play remains the same.
Just wish I had a PS4 Pro to enjoy it on as it is such a gorgeous game!

I literally just finished Uncharted 4 in prep for Lost Legacy next. U4 was spectacular looking on the pro, if Lost Legacy is the same it will be a visual treat.

I'll probably lose interest soon enough, but I decided to replay Final Fantasy VIII on the PS1. Kids these days won't know the challenge before you even start the game...

Haha. I know it all too well.

I'm in the minority of people who love FF8. It was my first PS1 game (I was a diehard Nintendo fan so I got a PS later on in it's life.)

I'm still holding out hope for a re-release on PS4 with some quality of life upgrades. Like being able to skip GF cutscenes and skip random battles. The FF7 and newly released FF9 editions on PS4 have stuff like that.

I'm currently in sports mode, so I'm dividing my time between NHL 18 and NBA2K18 (both PS4). Those two games will tide me over until COD drops in November.

Another day with Destiny 2 and I can say it's awesome! I love unlimited respawns but too bad that the ammunition is limited. Anyway, I love the game. I like this futuristic, modern style. I still didn't check the BF1 but I will shortly. The BF1 is more like World War game, so I have to get used to this historical style, but anyway I hope it will deliver a lot of fun.

What do you guys think about the new Star Wars game? Does any one have the beta access yet? I know that it's available for closed beta tests now, and will be available publicly in following days. The game will be available in stores in November.

I passed on 2K18 this year. I have heard good things about Live 18 despite some reviews. They both play differently, but I like switching it up.

TBH I'm not a huge basketball fan to begin with. I used to play NBA Live back in the original Playstation days, before my interested in basketball faded. But NBA2k is a lot of fun for never playing it before. I heard a lot from friends about how fun it is, so I decided to just buy it. I'm actually playing that more than NHL '18 at this point. A lot of different modes to pick and choose from.

This is my first time playing on the PlayStation; I have the Windows 98 version in a cupboard but I no longer have anything to play it on. There are some subtle and not-so-subtle differences between the two versions:

Right at the start of the game when you go into the cavern to get Ifrit, you need to pick a time limit. In the Windows version the timer stops when you defeat Ifrit, but the PS version also requires you to get back outside. I picked 10 minutes, which wasn't enough!

After getting to the Timber TV station, there's a giant screen with interference (Windows) or a repeating message saying something like "I am alive and won't let you forget about me" (PS).

I wonder what else I'll notice as I get further through the game!
