Just finished Ghost of Yotei. Great game.

However, there's now nothing much for me to do as I did all the side missions etc while I was playing through the main story. It's not like Tsushima where I could reset and replay an enemy base etc - in Yotei, once finished you
literally cant do anything other then wonder around?!

Also I cant restart the game and keep all my upgrades and weapons - like a 'Game+'

I was wondering about that with the Game+. There is something fun about starting the game over and being way over powered. Unfortunately no one puts in the time and detail that Rockstar does. I still find new things in Red Dead 2 and have played that game way too much.

The New Game+ and the online co-op mode are coming in an update next year.

I am getting EXTREMELY frustrated with Cronos The New Dawn haha, stuck on one part I can’t get past.

EDIT: Still playing the game, got past the frustrating bit, beat another boss but feeling the game is a bit repetitive with the bosses and unoriginal. Still I will finish it, think I only have two more chapters to do now.

Been playing the new Skate game for a bit. It's actually pretty fun! Great gameplay mechanics, and I love climbing on top of skyscrapers and skating up there. :) The map is great, a whole city just built for skating! Great fun for a free-to-play, and I haven't felt any pressure to spend money on microtransactions yet.

Finished Yotei, awesome game. Shame the online co-op update hasn't come out yet. Feel like getting back into those controls is going to be hard... Going for the platinum now but already have 90% of the trophies and then something I hate: picking the next game out of an immense backlog... Should I finally start with The Witcher 3? One of the games in my backlog that is waiting to be played for years now. What do you think @MisterSavage ? Has the time come?

Currently playing Helldivers 2. Beautiful game with a lot of action. Really like the over exaggerated democracy/liberty thing and the music is really good.

It give me a lot of Battlefield 1 vibes and love that. BF 1 is for me, the best FPS I played in my life, really enjoyed that game and Helldivers is giving me some of that kind of experience.

Also playing Pokemon Z-A on my Switch Oled. It works well and I like the gameplay. Really enjoyed Pokemon Arceus so this is good for me (didn't finish Arceus tho.. that Giratina was just insane)

When looking for my next game I saw Alan Wake in my backlog, decided to start that one. Couple of hours in and damn, they sure know how to create an atmosphere. Even got my Apple Watch to tell my I had an elevated hearthrate whilst it seemed I wasn't doing anything. Stupid watch! Can't you see I'm trying not to **** my pants?! (I play on a 83" OLED 4K, kinda get sucked in easily like that)

I couldn’t scratch the itch and back in Night City again. Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate edition was on sale for Switch 2 and Mac so bought them for both systems cheaper than one game at full price.

Finished Alan Wake. Awesome game. Even remastered the graphics were somewhat dated, but the atmosphere and storytelling were awesome. Finished Dead Island 2 during the holiday break, a lot of fun killings zombies with that one.

And a friend of mine convinced me to buy Claire Obscur Expedition 33 and having a blast with that one at the moment.

I'm a big sucker for open world games and love Spanglish so I'm digging Far Cry 6.
Did Far Cry 6 a month ago.
I finally ditched the uninspiring Elite Oddessy, and needed something to play.
Went for Asphalt Legends on the iPad - which is good fun.

I know I’ll be playing Far Cry Primal at some point soon, and 3 deserves another visit too.
Would like some recommendations for Far Cry 5 extensions that are fully involving really.

My ideal game would be a mixture of Half Life, and Far Cry. Hard to beat that standard of gameplay.

Just finished 'Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero' replay on Switch. I say replay but I never got past Chapter 1 in the past apparently. Had an absolute blast across ~70 hours, so much to explore and do.

Now deciding what comes next ... had started replay of Divinity Original Sin 2 (first since initial release) on Steam Deck in December so might stick with that (still in Fort Joy), or jump to 'Trails to Azure' replay (also only played ~10 or so hours before) on Switch ... or replay of Trails from Cold Steel on PlayStation Vita. For some reason the Trails games are hitting better for me than since the original PSP trilogy in the mid 2000s.

I would also recommend checking out Control. It is set in the same universe as Alan Wake and has a very interesting story and incredibly compelling setting and gameplay.

I recently picked up the PSVR2 PC adapter and finally was able to jump into Half Life Alyx. It is, by a wide margin, the most immersive and realistic feeling VR experience I've ever had.

I’d love to play Half Life Alyx.
What is the cheapest way - starting from nothing?
My i7 GTX1060 computer isn’t really up to it.
My guess was £2000 all in, just for one game. Plus the Valve VR headset and controllers.
I spent £1000 back in 2017, just to play Far Cry 5.
Sort of takes the game out of gaming…

I’ve been looking into it, and a basic Steamdeck looks the cheapest way to play Alyx.
You can install the No-VR mod too, and play it on a screen, using either a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, or the Steamdeck’s trackpads and joysticks, obviously with programmable macros on the buttons if needed.
Looks excellent.
I might get £200 for my old i7 water-cooled tower in it’s Next case, and I have a few Samsung 850 SSD’s to sell - so, that can go towards a Steamdeck, which can then also be a Windows computer.
I’d go for the top-spec 1TB Oled Steamdeck though. It looks awesome.
50 years of gaming in something that you can hold in one hand!

I already played Control and loved it. This is what made me notice Alan Wake. Can't wait for the Control Sequel, that trailer looked incredible! I'd love to play Control again now that I've played Alan Wake to get all those references, but I don't have enough time for that sadly. Have loads of games I haven't played yet so rather put my time in those.

Re starting Helldivers 2 after moving to PS5. This game should implement cross-save.

Also, returning to Snow runner after a good and long run but those snowy maps of Year 1 DLC just destroyed me. Now I'm playing with my brother's DLCs so I'm beginning with Tennessee region.

Wanted to re play God of War 4 since my brother has the Ragnarok one. It's a really good perk to have the ability to share your PS account.

I recently finished Echoes of Wisdom on Switch 1 which was surprisingly fun and satisfying. Now I'm playing Luigi's Mansion 3 and enjoying it, but not as much as EoW. I'll be retiring it in the near future, but right now I'm having a blast. I'll be checking out Paper Mario next and hopefully also play Metroid Prime 4 as the swansong. I also need to finish Tears of the Kingdom which I'm half-way through. It just became too humongous so I needed a break.

I’d love to play Half Life Alyx.

It's the first game I'll play if/when I buy a VR device. Looks incredibly immersive.

... or replay of Trails from Cold Steel on PlayStation Vita.

OK so I guess I have decided and Vita it is! It was fun going to save during the prologue and seeing that my final save from my other playthrough was August 2016. Game is familiar but I have forgotten so much at the same time!
