They absolutely can. The only reason I would get rid of it would be because I can get it new for the Xbox one for 20.00 this weekend and have the same game with better graphics.

Yes, that makes sense. I am still considering buying this game (never played it) on either PS4 or Switch. Only reason to go for the Switch version would be portability.

Revisiting GTA IV. Decided to restart the story and get a few trophies. Trophies weren't patched in the game when I beat the game the first time.

AC: Origins in glorious 4K but I just saw this morning that both Skyrim and Fallout 4 XBX versions downloaded - thinking about heading back to the Commonwealth, looking for my boy Shawn and then see if I can't find some fellow adventurers who haven't taken an arrow to the knee, might apply for a college in Winterhold too.

Say hi to the wastelanders from me!
I spent 480+ hours in the commonwealth.

I realised today that I still hadn't finished Dark Souls III. I was near the end but hadn't done that final push (although I didn't know exactly how far I had to go). So I loaded it up, touched a couple of bonfires, killed a boss on the second attempt, and proceeded to have the credits roll after about 20 minutes' total playing.

I should've done that months ago...

I'm enjoying Star Wars Battlefront 2 on PS4. Removing microtransactions has leveled the field, and I find the multiplayer to be one of the most fun MP experiences I've ever had. My criticism has to do with a few bugs and how the leveling up system is so slow and such a grind, which I'm assuming was made that way purposefully to encourage microtransactions.

I think Destiny did microtransactions really well - completely optional and it isn't leveled items, mostly emotes and items that you need to infuse with the high level you have. It is mostly items that are superfluous to gameplay - new sparrow or ship, emotes.

EA as a whole is hellbent on making MTs a way of life, Ubisoft is the same way - open up the store for AC: Origins and it is filled with items that should have been awarded in game, "enhance your gameplay" - at least give us a way to earn whatever the currency is in game.

Having picked up my Xbox One X a few weeks back on launch, I have plyed Forza 7 which I'm slowly working through, Super Lucky's Tale (which was a very nice relaxing title) 100% completed, and now Sonic Forces.
Sonic Forces is amazing. Reviews would have you believe it's crap, but hello every 3d Sonic game...
I always love 3d Sonics, even had some enjoyment out of the original 'Sonic the Hedgehog' on Xbox / PS3.

Also working through LA. Noire on Switch at bedtimes, although not enjoying it as much as when I first played it. When it came out I was blown away by it. I loved the different styles of gameplay with surveying a crime scene, driving to points of interest, questioning the suspects etc. But for some reason it just doesn't have the same charm now as it did then.
I will crack on with it. Once I've done with that though it'll be Resident Evil Revelations for Switch as I love those games. :)

Super Mario Odyssey

Currently in New Donk City. How far into the game am I?
Not very far I don’t think - it’s where I’m left off lol. The last I played I was pretty much done there. The last part of this was very cool, quite a catchy tune too. IIRC i have about 160 moons at this point. I haven’t played in 3weeks, not too much time to play with it :(

I keep hearing that it gets better after completing it the first time. I gotta do that soon.

I was playing The Witcher: Enhanced Edition for about one hour. Was a huge fan of Wild Hunt and respected Assassins of Kings for its ambitiousness, but Christ almighty is the original terrible. Perhaps one just had to be there at release but I cannot fathom how it was a beloved game.

It is so weird how games you really enjoyed are incredibly painful to go back and replay. I spent countless hours playing the original Mass Effect, tried replaying it when it came to backwards compatibility and I was so disappointed. Same thing with old Elder Scrolls and Fallout games.

Most definitely agree, but then I think that's how one really cultivates a sense of those games that are truly great from those that were just well-hyped and good. When you can play an older game and it's not just nostalgia that makes allowances for its shortcomings, you know it's something special.

Since sending my switch dock, power adapter, and left joycon in for service, I picked up a PS4 and the VR set. Currently messing around with Resident Evil 7 in VR, Horizon Complete Edition, and Bloodthorne.

I originally planned on getting rid of my Xbox One S, but since I found such a good deal on the PS4 (less than 450 for everything), I’ve decided to keep all three and just get each systems’ exclusive titles themselves.

I have noticed that the PS4 certainly has the win in that category.

Jumping around my Nintendo Switch library:

Super Mario Odyssey, Legend of Zelda: BoTW, ARMS, Skyrim, Mario + Rabbids and Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

Lot of bouncing around on it. Love the system!

New Xbox One X and all I’m playing on it is PUBG (when time allows).
It’s fun, but I can’t wait for it to be complete. If they smooth out the technical issues I can see it completely consuming any free time I have.

I've downloaded it, but not played yet. Am I understanding correctly that if I get killed early on, I just sit there like a chump for 15-20 minutes or whatever waiting for the round to end? :)

Not at all, you can immediately jump back to the menu and jump into matchmaking again.

Couldn't resist the dark side at 30% off...and having a blast so far with Battlefront II. Way better than the first one and the campaign is quite nice overall and even a wee bit challenging on hard with no hud (would advise to jump in like that and play on easy afterwards if you want to complete the challenges). Mp so far is also improved.

twietee shot first!

My cousin's visiting for Christmas and he's into retro games. He's brought his 3DO and we've been working through Lost Eden (I played the demo 20 years ago and am finally getting to find out what happens next!). I think we're near the end, so will be finding something else soon :)
