Hopefully this isn't too much of a spoiler but you can count the number of remaining required bosses on one hand.

So I am nearing the end...maybe 3/4 of the way through?

I just found out that the Upper Cathedral Ward has a second boss. Guess I'll have to check that out, too! :D

Bloodborne, cont'd:

Another good night. Killed Ebrietas, Daughter of Whoopie Goldberg (first try) and also The One Reborn (second try). :)

Also ventured back into the Forbidden Forest, cause I knew there were some corners that I hadn't explored. My curiosity got rewarded with...some sedatives, and little more. Oh well. At least now I know what I missed!

Nightmare of Mensis.

Ugh.

Lost 50k blood echoes.

:(

Created a character ("Elfis") in Dragon Age Inquisition! Elf Mage...good choice?

Xenoblade Chronicles X is my current game. Absolutely amazing gem, and can easily stand with games on the Xbox One and the Playstation 4

I'm waiting to get this for after the holidays, when I may (I hope) have some concentrated time to get into it & progress a little bit. It looks massive...

Xenoblade Chronicles X

The game is as good as the legit reviews say it is. It's totally amazing.
The game is not the traditional RPG. Think of it as more of a planetry exploration game with a few story quests thrown in for good measure. The story quests are not the main part of the game. All of the quests are as well as the exploration of the planet. The game will reinforce this to you many times in the first 3 chapters so you know.

I agree. In ways XCX is better than most of the PS4 and XB1 line up. It's my personal 2015 Game of the Year. The only major issue with XCX is that it's very niche.

It is indeed massive. Just doing enough to get the story quests done is easily 40 hours plus. That's at a rush. To 100% the game, that's 100 hours easily.

For a real world comparison, I have only started chapter 4 of the story quests and I have 30 hours of game play time. None of that time feels wasted as almost everything you do gives you a reward (one of the 3 different upgradable level systems in the game - Inner or standard, class and division).

I finished up ZombiU last night. Pretty good game. Only went through 6 survivors. My longest lasting guy made it a little over 8 hours - died at the arena section twice before I managed to pass it. Overall not a very difficult game if you play slowly and cautiously. I don't think I'll ever bother giving Survivor mode a try, though. That could end up getting very frustrating.

Time for something a little more cheerful. I'll give Pikmin 3 a shot tonight. I've never played a Pikmin game before so I don't have a clue what they're like.

So..... The Old Hunters - worth the 20 bucks?

I'm nearing the end of the main game, character at level 91 or something. Would this be a good time to play the expansion? Other option would be to wait for the DLC to be cheaper and play a NG+.

If I could send you it I would as I'm unlikely to ever see the content myself at this stage :(

I'm about 1-2 hours into Dragon Age Inquisition. Enjoying it so far, but it seems pretty complex. Do I have two options for combat, real time action, or turn based with the tactical camera? Still seems confusing to me, I'm kind of just button mashing at the moment. :D Also the war table, powers, scout cards...will take some time before I understand it all.

You rarely have to use the tactical over the head style combat unless you are all ranged team mates. Just make sure your team is balanced (2 ranged / 2 melee) and you should be good to go.

It's a game that does seem very busy in its first few hours but it's in those early hours you basically learn everything you need for the rest of the game.

I loved it. One of the very few games I finished, doubly more so with the fact I finished it on both ps4 & xb1 as different characters and choices throughout.

Finished Halo 5 campaign and it was a big "meh" to me. I wasn't impressed with one single aspect of the story and what was up with all the spartans looking like their necks have been stretched?.The multiplayer is where the meat is and I'm enjoying it, just wish there were more organic looking maps instead.

Currently tackling Rise of the Tomb Raider and I'm enjoying it so far.

Bless

So tonight I cleared the Nightmare of Memphis and tickled Micolash the Hostess to death.

Not sure how much more punishment I can take from this game. I may just skip the DLC for now so I don't get burned out on it... Also looking forward to finally moving on to other games. (Perhaps Dark Souls? :D)

dusted off the ole PS1 and started playing FF7(my fave RPG of ALL time). waiting to pick up my new to me Xbox One tomorrow. last console to date was a PS2, never touched the PS3 or 360; so this'll be a learning curve for me as i never played any of the previous MMO's or fan faves...

They've just released an updated PS1 version for the PS4! It's pretty good stuff too - faster loading times, higher resolution art, plus a button to speed the game up. I'm really enjoying it like this!

Bloodborne Progress Blog:

So after killing Micolash, I ventured into the hidden area, killed Mother Brain and picked up the Blood Rock. I have to admit, I never would have found all that without a guide...

There is one thing to be said about this game though: The level design and layout is absolutely fantastic! I walked across a narrow wooden beam in this secret hard-to-find room, no sense of where I was, glanced down into the darkness...and realized I was right above the entrance hall of the castle, with all the spiders! An insignificant gaming moment I guess, but the game is full of those "aaaah, that's where I am" revelations that makes it apparent how much thought and detail went into designing and mapping out those environments.

Next up: My +10 Kirkhammer and I are going to explore The Old Hunters!
