Kind of curious to see what games Mac users play on their computers under OS X. Please don't include games played under Bootcamp/Parallels

    I play:
    Imperial Glory
    Warcraft III
    Civilization IV
    Sid Meier's Pirates!
    The Sims 3
    Lego Star Wars
    World of Warcraft
    Starcraft II

The two games I've played are Sims 3 and Age of Empires 3. I have PS3 so I rarely game on my Mac

Starcraft 2. I'm retiring my MBP from games because I now lag during 1v1 battles (not even full on 200 food vs 200 food). Just gonna build a gaming PC and then use my MBP as my carry along.

    I also played:
    Starcraft: BW
    Diablo 2
    Warcraft 3: TFT
    Team Fortress 2
    Half-Life 2: E2

In OS X only, mostly play:

AoE 3 + both expansion packs
    AoE 2
    Age of Mythology
    Rome: Total War
    Rise of Nations
    Starcraft
Command & Conquer (Generals, Tiberium Wars & RA3)
    Europa Universalis 2
    Lego Star Wars, 1 & 2
    Imperial Glory
    Prey
    Quake 4

Looking to get Starcraft 2 shortly. No rush as my time for gaming is limited these days.

Not a big gamer. I play X-Moto and EV: Nova (used to play the original Escape Velocity and EV: Override, but can't really play them anymore on my MacBook).

    World of Warcraft
    Team Fortress 2
    Starcraft 2

That's about it. Everything else is Bootcamp/XP.

no offence. but why all these strategy games do you play? no FPS, action? I have seen it is not coincident. I hate strategy game. it's boring. I don't get why people spend so much time for playing that boring game. game should be fun, get out of your stress. but strategy game? when I play game, I don't want to use my brain. I am so enough to use my brain for everyday very stressful job. for record, I am an architect.

Don't own any Windows games unless you count my SteamPlay games (although I do have a copy of Windows 7, just in case). Anyway...

    Age of Empires 3
    Rise of Nations
    Team Fortress 2
    Altitude
    Counter Strike
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King
    FlatOut 2
    World of Goo
    Peggle
    Diablo 2
    Unreal 2004
    Enemy Territory: Wolfenstein

I play all the PPC compatible ones on my PowerBook as well.

You just haven't gotten into one. Sure they aren't for everybody, but there are plenty of simple minded RTS games. (World in Conflict comes to mind).

OpenArena and Urban Terror primarily, with some Tremulous and WarSoW on the side. All are free open-source clones or repacks of the ioquake3 game engine (from Q3A in 1999) and run quite well I might add. Hours of bloody, plotless fun.

I also have a port of Sid Meier's Civilization III which claims to be designed for OS 9 but runs on Leopard nonetheless. I've no clue where or how I got it.

But yeah, for me, mostly online multiplayer FPS games. :D

I think the way you do... about FPS games. I find them stressful and confusing, I like to take my time in a game as well.

zeroN64, running in emulation. Since I'm not about to install Windows for a game (or any other reason), it uses Cider to translate the system calls.

    Bioshock
    Borderlands
    CoD 1, 2, 4, and MW2
    Chess
    F.E.A.R. 2
    Fallout 3
    GTA San Andreas
    Half Life 2, and HL2 EP1
    Halo 1
Lego Star Wars 1 and 2

    NES Emulation (Nestopia)
    Pac the Man X
    Prey

Please post a list of all buildings that you have worked on, in however small of a capacity. I, like many others on this site, need this list to determine which buildings to NEVER SET FOOT IN.

    Imperial Glory

If you like Imperial Glory, try out any of the Total War series:
    Rome Total War
    Medieval Total War 2
    Napoleon Total War
    Empire Total War
    Shogun Total War 2

I've tried Imperial Glory and find it clunky in comparison to the Total War series.

Just loaded Halo and Quake 4 back on my Mac--fun stuff, but a better graphics card is in order if I'm going to play much. Trying to talk myself out of buying an X800 right now :D

ew, you're better off playing on that ThinkPad right now. Its pointless to spend that much money on such an old graphics card with a very limited game library.

Well hell, who am I to tell you how to spend your money. Do what you want, but its just not a good idea.

On a different note, Quake 4 is awesome!

Trust me, I know it's not logical--but I love my G5. Also, the X1300 in my IBM is underclocked, and only has 64MB of VRAM--pathetic for a card of its class. Heck, the 6800 GT I had in my dual 1.8GHz G5 way back when pushed out Quake 4 better than my CoreDuo MBP with the X1600.

That's saddening. I used to have a T61 with an nVidia NVS 140m, and it was actually fairly decent for a business class card of its age.

ThinkPads and Mac's are the best.
