What happens when you are put in "Time Out"? Can you just not post while in time out?

Indeed, it's a temporary ban while you go away and think carefully about whatever naughtiness you've committed.

If you don't know what a time out is, you've likely been spanked all your life.

I'm quite sure if you ask nicely, a moderator will be glad to spank you instead.

Though, if they give you the option of the Steve Jobs iPaddle, you might want to start running -- since it still has some bugs to work out.

I ripped the head off a puppy, filmed it, and posted it here on MR.

i do wish in timeout you could log in but not post just so you could contact a moderator

as it is now once you are in timeout, you cant get any feedback whatsoever

Can't you use the "Contact Us" link at the bottom right of the page?

I was just in another thread and there were several posts by an established member who was in time out. His avatar was not visible but he was obviously posting.

I've caught myself getting uptight about things from time to time then I feel bad about it. It's not worth it and other people get sucked into the drama too.

IMO, overall the MR community is a decent and interesting lot. Once in a while there are a few bumps in the road but nothing too major. The good points still outweigh the bad points by far.

That might be a new way for MR to make some extra money... especially if you can pick your own mod :D

I slit my wrists everyday because I got depressed.

Breaking the rules; flaming other people (even if it's for good reason), spamming, not using multiquote, etc.

Think mine was the same; it wasn't fun at all. That's the default setting in vBulletin for time-outs.

BTW, these are the available choices:

I find the last 2 temp-ban times quite amusing. :D

I bet if you sent a PM to a mod they could accommodate your request. :D
