What hardware is Apple bringing out in June at Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC)

I'm wondering what new Macs and iPads Apple is bringing out in June at Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC)

It would be very unusual for Apple to announce new hardware at their developers conference (all about software).

More likely than not "no hardware" but I wouldn't bet on it.

This argument rolls around every year.
"Apple never announces hardware at WWDC"

...except for all the times that Apple has announced hardware at WWDC (e.g. 2005, 2013, 2019 Mac Pros, 2017 iMac Pro, M2 chip + M2 MBA, Apple Vision Pro...)

The only things near-guaranteed to be announced at WWDC keynote are new versions of MacOS/iOS/iPadOS/WatchOS but if it makes sense for them to launch hardware they will - especially if something needs pre-announcing to get developers on board. Look at the MR roundups for upcoming products and your guess is as good as anybody else's.

Least likely is any new iPhone - that's more or less a fixed feast for September.
Macs and iPads tend to appear in October/November or Feb/March, but that's less predictable.

Important to distinguish between the developers conference which is - well, exactly what it says, and the opening keynote which is a big press jamboree.

Yes some years Apple brings out new hardware in June. If you look at hardware there is lots hardware in the works now so it could come out any day now.

Apple has largely moved away from hardware announcements at WWDC. It used to be more of a thing for them, but not so much anymore. That's not to say they won't in 2026, but by and large, its a developer conference, so the focus will be on developers.

People say that wwdc doesn’t usually do hardware but it’s not as definitive as people suggest

2023, 2022, 2019 had hardware.

That said the shortages might push any chance of Mac mini or studio updates to later this year.

Maybe best to put of buying for a couple of weeks - but I wouldn't hold my breath.

One (remote) possibility: The Mac Pros (& the iMac Pro) have often been announced at WWDC (all of them, I think?). Some of them months in advance of actually launching.

Whatever replaces the M3 Ultra Studio will be the de facto new Mac Pro - even if they don't call it such - so it might warrant a WWDC announcement, esp. if the next "ultra" chip has any interesting, developer-relevant features. Still not holding my breath...
