Since the sample size (currently 81 votes) is large enough (n>50), it looks as if we have a statically meaningful picture of consumer preference toward the iPhone 6+. Good job team!
Only within MacRumors. I can go to an overclocking forums and post a poll regarding how many people overclock but it won't be representative of real world behavior.

You're also drawing from an audience that is probably more likely to have picked the 6+ than the general population. I'd be interested to see what Apple's actual sales look like to get an actual idea of if the 6+ is really outselling the 6.

pretty sure the 6 is outselling the 6+. add to the fact that they produced less 6 pluses and is currently out of stock everywhere.

I think it would be interesting to sticky this poll until there is a larger sample size.

You forgot a "none of the above" choice...

I haven't really seen anything in the 6/6+ that's made me want to upgrade from my 5S.

normal 6. I have too much of an active lifestyle to deal with a huge device. Plus it's $100 more and only difference I noticed was it scales the same apps bigger and rotates the homescreen landscape. Nope don't want it.

Interesting to see the supposedly loathed 6 Major beating the supposedly size-superior 6 Minor in the poll so far ;)

----------

Someone should do a poll to see who bought what.

Someone should make a poll about whether we need a poll asking if we need more polls about what phone people bought.

Ugh shut up why even post in this thread then?

The question was "Poll: What iPhone did you choose?" and I answered.

I'm going assume that since you're posting from Germany you don't realize that it's insulting to tell a stranger to "shut up" and you're not really intending to act like a prick. Either way you're making an off-topic post to complain about what you think is an off-topic post, which is oddly hypocritical since it only induces further off-topic posts further undermining the supposed intent.

Hmm, only 3.2% for option four right now. I'd have thought with all the threads complaining about how big the 6 Plus after it came out that it'd be higher.

pre ordered the 6+, felt it was too big. going from 4" to 5.5" was a big jump

got the 6 and it was perfect.

sold the iPhone 6+ for $100 profit, rather than returning it to apple.

Weird. I have yet to see a 6+ out in public.

i work at the airport and have seen more 6's than 6+

most common colour is silver, too.

Well I guess you're right about that. Sorry then.

I went with a SG 6 64gb. I think I'd really like the 6+, but there would also be times when its size would just get in the way. Having demo'ed both side by side, I felt the 6 was a great size and a perfect in-between point between the 5 and the 6+.

I also had money considerations - at the time I thought I was going to be re-upping a contract, so I budgeted for $300 for the device (before AppleCare and a case, taxes etc). I ended up going with the NEXT program because it's simply the better deal (over the contract option), but I still wanted to keep the same budget constraints & manageable monthly payment.

I debated between 6+ 16gb or 6 64gb. Went with the latter - after 3 years of 16gb, it's just not enough space. This past weekend I was able to shoot some video of my daughter at a sporting event using the 240fps slo-mo option, edited it, and produced it all on my phone. In the past there's no way that happens - even with no music and limited apps, I'd still only have ~2gb of free space BEFORE considering 8mp pictures and 1080p video of varying framerate. 128gb would be nice, but considering 64gb has been the top choice for so long, it seems like it'll be plenty for the next 2 years of use.

After ordering the SG, I sort of wished I'd gotten the silver/white with a brown leather case. Seems like it'd be sharp. I picked up the black leather case to go with the black phone and it looks really nice, so I'm happy with that - decided it wasn't worth the hassle of doing a return.

I love my iPhone 6 Plus. I knew that I wanted it during the keynote. Didn't second guess it. I like that it has those extra features such as the Optical Image Stabilization, Long Battery Life, Enhanced Landscape modes and of course that gorgeous 5.5" screen that also displays 1080p.

I had the unlocked T-Mobile 64 GB iPhone 6 but returned it today as I was able to get a Verizon 128GB iPhone 6 on eBay for $150 more than the one I had. The Verizon iPhone 6 will work out better for me as I might be switching to Verizon soon anyway. The extra storage is nice too even though I'll never need it.

While it's true there were less 6 Pluses made than the small 6, that doesn't equate to the reason why the 6 Pluses are out of stock. If they weren't in high demand they would be in stock still. Microsoft made a small amount of Surface Pro 3's and you can find them everywhere since the day of release. The truth will come out soon but I'm willing to bet the 6 Plus is in much higher demand than the smaller 6. A large screened iPhone is what the public wanted and the smaller 6 is just a little bigger than the 5S. Not enough difference.

Understandable about the storage upgrade but the T-mo CEO stated that all iPhone 6/6 Pluses are the same. He said you could buy a Verizon, Sprint or AT&T iPhone 6/6Plus and switch out the sim for theirs and use their calling plan without issue.
