While it's true there were less 6 Pluses made than the small 6, that doesn't equate to the reason why the 6 Pluses are out of stock. If they weren't in high demand they would be in stock still. Microsoft made a small amount of Surface Pro 3's and you can find them everywhere since the day of release. The truth will come out soon but I'm willing to bet the 6 Plus is in much higher demand than the smaller 6. A large screened iPhone is what the public wanted and the smaller 6 is just a little bigger than the 5S. Not enough difference.

I agree. The plus feels like a whole new experience compared to the 5s. While the 6 has a bigger screen than the 5s, it still feels like the 5s in a way. Definitely NOT the case with the plus.

I think many people are appreciating the bigger screen, myself included. My wife went from a plus to a 6 back to a plus. She said the bigger screen was so much nicer. I think after the initial shock of a much bigger iphone wears off, the plus will become a whole lot more popular. It already is.

Understandable about the storage upgrade but the T-mo CEO stated that all iPhone 6/6 Pluses are the same. He said you could buy a Verizon, Sprint or AT&T iPhone 6/6Plus and switch out the sim for theirs and use their calling plan without issue.

I would be more interested in what Verizon had to say as this is the network that I would be using it on. Typically Verizon hasn't been very good about activating any phone that isn't suported by them. Keeping the T-Mobile 6 might have lead to activation issues with Verizon and with 1 day left in my return period I didn't want to take the chance. Hopefully the sealed Verizon 6 that I purchased from eBay will come as promised and work out well.

One could say adoption for the 6 Plus has been lower than for the 6 because there are fewer 6 Pluses available. There could be many potential buyers waiting to get their hands on the 6 Plus. It's impossible to glean from a single graph alone.

yes im well aware of that. i for one had to settle for the 6 minus because of the lack of availability of the 6 plus

Had the tweener phablet. Didn't need it so back it went for the iPhone 6.

Maybe most people wouldn't know an iPhone phablet from a Samsung phablet, if I can use that word on here ☺️Can anyone really say that if the iPhone 6 was less available than the iPhone 6+ on launch day that the iPhone 6+, would've sold more than vice versa.

How many 6's is Apple producing for each 6+? 5:1? 10:1? 2:1? 20:1? Has anything been published that's reliable?

Without that piece of information it's tough to even speculate sales/demand in the general market let alone draw any conclusions. "High demand" is relative. If Apple produced ten 6's for every 6+ but the market demand was 8:1 instead, you'd have a significant lack of availability despite the 8:1 market preference. (numbers just pulled out of the air for illustrative purposes)

A poll here is no better than kissing your sister; self selected sample within a (relatively) small microcosm of propeller heads that's not representative of the Apple buying community at large. No statistically significant data is likely to result.

After using a 6 in Space Grey and a 6+ in Silver, I returned both to order a 6+ in Space Grey. After my experience with both devices, I think the + is the best phone for me and SG is the color that I prefer.

However, my delivery date is Oct 30-Nov 6. I'll be waiting for a while, but it'll be worth it!

I remember reading a business article saying 400K 6 : 140K 6 Plus manufactured daily.

6+ 128 Space Grey. Enjoying it very much. I agree with TRC-WA w/regard to storage. I always end up filling up my phone, and couldn't imagine doing with less than the largest capacity available. My iPad, with 128 never got all filled up and I expect that the 128 will finally be a comfortable amount of storage for my phone as well.

Ordered a 6 in space gray 128GB on Saturday to replace my 5. I got in from work a short while ago and it had already arrived! Restoring from backup now even though it means I won't sleep much before I head back out. Gotta love overnight shipping!

I came from a 5, and I bought a 64GB 6. The touchID alone is a god-send for me, and the screen size doesn't bother me at all. In fact, I was happy with the 5 screensize and using it one-handed.

I still have more than 30gb free on the phone, I'd rather leave my movies in the ipad and I don't have that much audio.

With the apple leather case, the 6 fits just nice in my pants. In fact, some of my pants with shallower pockets just barely fit the 6. The 6 plus would never fit in them.

6+ 128GB gold
Had them all....Galaxy S5, Lumia 1520, 1020, 930, iPhone 5s....
6+ rocks ;).
Got mine from a scalper who became nervous after 2 weeks because he wanted +300.- and nobody paid the price.
Got it for 999.- from him :)

I got an iPhone 6. I knew the plus was going to be too big for me because I had a note 2 back in 2012 and I dumped that about six months later.

I just bought an iPhone 6 Plus. I didn't get the color I wanted, but oh well.

Pre-ordered the 6 (64GB Space Gray); received on launch day.

Swapped the 6 for a 6+ (128GB Silver; only one in stock) after 12 days. Initially thought the 6+ was "way too big".

Swapped the 6+ Silver for a 6+ 64GB Space Gray today after a week with the Silver. White front was a little too distracting. Played with the 6 again in the store and thought it felt really good in the hand but I'm already attached to the screen size of the 6+.

I hope I'm done swapping now.

128gb Space Grey 6 for me.

I was never unhappy with the physical size of the 5 so the 6 being that bit bigger sounded ideal. Saw the 6 and 6+ in a shop prior to choosing and the 6+ just seemed to big for me.

I commute by train to work so like to be able to put my phone in my suit trouser pocket. The Plus would be too big for that. If I didn't use an iPad I may opt for the Plus as an all rounder but the normal 6 is just right.

Just itching for Lifeproof to release a case for it as the Griffin Survivor is too chunky but offers great protection.

I decided to go with the "big brother" of the two as the 6 Minus was never even a consideration. The 6 Plus is the best handset I have owned to date. Thanks Apple!

That's why I chose to order directly from Apple. I figured that if I'm paying $500 for a device then it better be the EXACT color and EXACT storage capacity that I want. $500 was too much to settle for sloppy seconds in my opinion.
