I guess, i wont be taking my ipod touch very far from the home except vacation, maybe. I'm not sure if it will ever leave home, or if i'll even touch it.![]()
If you have 4g in your location, you might want to look into Sprint Overdrive or Clear's brand of the same device. Clear also has a 4g only (not combo) that 's a little cheaper. I went the no contract Virgin Mobile MiFi route for my ipod touch. Not super speedy, but it makes it easy to connect from anywhere over Sprint's 3g network. Add more data if you need it, pay as you go. The mifi has been great so far. May still look into Clear 4g as an alternative to cable at home, but for now, Virgin Mobile mifi seems to be doing the trick. 4 tiers of data. No caps, since you just add more when you need it. Not great for large bandwidth requirements, and you do lose any leftover Gb at the end of the time period (10 days or 30 days) but it might do what you need for occasional connectivity away from home. You only have to add money at least once a year to keep it activated.
